Ever since I was a young child I was very fascinated with instrumental music. I found it to be amazing, that music with no vocals to lead the way can still take you on a vivid internal journey. This double album is an effort to provide just that for its listeners!

The idea to divide the album up in terms of energy, hit me very clearly and the blueprints for the whole thing was unmistakable in my mind. I decided that the culmination of each album should end with death, what it's like to leave this world whilst serving the light and what it's like to leave this world whilst serving the darkness. The last songs on each respective album are called 'into the Heavens' and 'into the Abyss' and they turned out exactly the way I wanted them to, as did the rest of the album!
