Rising artist in the French underground scene and co-founder of the CULTE label, Max Tenrom is not only a DJ and producer. He's also a talented musician. Already released on many renowned labels and accustomed to Top Beatport, Max claims a very varied universe and style which can range from Downtempo to Techno. His current style is hard to label as he uses his many influences to create his own craft. Giving emotions remains the most important anyway. On stage live or Dj Set, he mixes synthesizers, electronic machines and acoustic percussion. The meeting of these different sounds combined with the energy of the percussion offers a real artistic and organic performance.

The track "Earth" was made around the vocal. I really wanted to set this beautiful Jason Momoa's speech to music.
It's a cry of alert from our planet, we can feel the emergency and the despair that results.
"Souk Story" is much more happy and takes you directly to a noisy and warm Souk from Maghreb.
Enjoy this exotic visit full of oriental sonorities and dynamic rhythms.

About this journey :
Ok, so I really didn't know where to start since I haven't recorded something in a looooonnggg time. However, when I was listening to Planet Caravan's Remix of my track Eleven Will Dust Lucas, I figured that I should just hit the record button and see where my mood was going to take me.
I remember I really loved the flow I was in from the moment I hit the record button, but wasn't sure afterwards if it was any good since there's no feedback from a crowd or anything. So I decided to take a listen to the mixtape when I was out on one of my regular Sunday strolls and I think it came out great. This one should really be played loud. It's a bit obscure, hence the name, but really fitting for a dancefloor. So hope you'll enjoy this mixtape just as much as I did when listening back to it.

Sol Selectas welcomes back French artists Chambord to the label, with a new single featuring singer Jo.Ke, and 3 remixes of the song by El Mundo, Chukka, and Landikhan. 

The music for “Quiet Times” was originally written by the French duo during the long quiet months of winter. The song features oud player Issa Murad, and the lyrics were later added during a chance collaboration in Tulum, with Jo.Ke. 


We all need to slow down and enjoy the moments of stillness in between the chaos of life. We can only know who we truly are when we gift our selves those  “Quiet Times’, turn inward, and reflect.  JoKe ’s lyrics are directed towards people who need to receive this empowerment “… I wrote this song for them, and everyone else needing, and deserving, a break.”


On remix duties we welcome 3 new artists to the family: El Mundo from Germany, Landikhan from Spain, and Chukka from Bali.  All three expertly re-interpret the original in a unique way, lending to more perfect moments, in which to share this beautiful message. 


The cover art by Helia Jamali captures the essence of these “Quiet Times”, a stairway into the calm solitude of a magnificent sunset.
