Azaad steps out with his own new label, Born 2 Be Free, for the first time here and says that the plan for it is to 'break out of the mold.' The man himself takes care of the first EP and shows the world what he is all about with a fine homage to early garage sounds but with a hint of London grit. 'Dubba Ding' is a nice chord-laced pumper with shuffling beats, 'Feel The Rhythm' is more raw and stripped back with loopy, chopped-up vocals and 'Get Da Runaround' brings warm pad swirls and some soulful vocals to a nice deep garage vibe. Three very useful tracks indeed and a great first EP from this new label.

Brawther and Tristan Da Cunha's Dungeon Meat deals only in rock-solid house cuts designed for maximum club impact. Their Weapons Of Ass Destruction series is a treasure trove of such sounds and the fourth volume is another doozy: Sweely kicks off with some rubbery tripped-out tech, Frederik Anthony spins out on silky and deft percussive tech on 'Shortbacknsides' and Timmy P's 'Your Parents Are Doing It Kev' is a drake heavier stomper for when things get freaky. Boss Priester offers another highlight with the industrial and cosmic tech of 'Today Okay' while JAMM's 'Ignition' is more high-class weaponry.

Juno review: You can always rely on Dungeon Meat to kick out the jams and that is the case here with Julian Anthony next up to make a solid house statement. 'Dale Ale' kicks things off with a tumbling hook that sounds like someone whacking a giant metal drum, while 'Phantom Strike' brings shuffling garage energy to the beats. 'Radikal Forze' is one of those late-night jams with some mysterious pads leading you to mischief and last of all 'Z-Town' rides on rubbery kick drum loops with tripped-out pads. Heady and physical at the same time, all four of these are superb.
