Resonant Mutations Part 1 - DJ Set - Winter 2013

Construx is Ben Trewin, a DJ/Artist hailing from the hills of Melbourne, Australia. Mutagen co-conspirator and Australian label DJ for Biomechanix Records. He first connected to the Psychedelic vibe and got his first taste of Psychedelic Trance back around the year 2000, he then spent years listening to and collecting the best music from around the world and in 2007 he played his first DJ set at a Mutagen party in Brunswick.

He has gone on to play his signature style of Heavy Hitting Hi Tech Psy-Trance at countless outdoor and indoor party’s, including some of the biggest festivals in Australia, playing alongside artists such as Rubix Qube, Absolum, Rabdom L, Highko, Electric Universe, Khopat, Space Tribe, Cosmo, Wizack Twizack, Sensient, Tantrum, Basic,  Dark Nebula, Luke Psywalker, Juno Reactor, Terrafractyl and heaps more. His passion for everything Twisted, Full-on, Psychedelic and Twilight proves to be a constant winner on Australian dancefloors always whipping the crowd into a mad frenzy.

In 2007 Ben teamed up Mutagen Creations, a Melbourne based crew famous for throwing amazing parties all over Australia. This pairing helped Mutagen grow to be one of the most exciting crews coming out of Melbourne. In 2008 they threw the first Diaspora festival, which has grown to become a favourite amongst die-hard doofers. 

In 2012 Ben joined forces with BioMechanix Records, a Mexico based fullon Psytrance label known for releasing some of the more powerful music from around the world. And in 2013 he started working on compiling a full length V.A. for the Mexican label titled 'Spiral Out' which was released on 15th December 2014. Featuring tracks from renowned artists such as Jaws Underground, Sub Zero, Anxiety, Dr3x, Shadai, Menticide and so much more, it is proving to be a winner, smashing dancefloors around the world!
