Named after the most terrifying phase of Micro Machines, CP formed in London and slithered to Brighton, assimilating a slew of new talent along the way. Champion Fraff takes you on a journey through moods and atmospheres. From the innocent exuberance of the self titled Contact Play, to the tanked-up sleaze of Juicing and the woe of Falling Innit, CP display an emotional range equivalent to fifty Fifty Cents. Tongues are firmly wedged in cheeks throughout, allowing abstract fantasy, “you can use my tunes to shave your stupid face” to coexist with sharply observed bleakness, “we’re all great friends til the dawn breaks”.
