Release #15 on our catalogue celebrates a great return to Techno oriented editions, with a new release by Umbra.
After 2 years in hiatus, Umbra are back with "Drift", a three track EP, which includes one remix by California-based Müzmin, originally from Turkey. 
Both "Out To Sea" and "Forward" are kick-heavy, melodic Techno anthems, with a melodramatic feel and different tempos that suit every type of dancefloor. Müzmin remix for "Out To Sea" however is a bass and groove focused interpretation of the original, perfect to set on fire an already burning crowd. 
The three make a spectacular Techno pack made from musicians in two continents separated by the ocean, hence the sailing theme which haunts this release. We find it most appropriate.

Con+ainer is proud to announce the release of Umbra’s highly anticipated debut album "The Stranded", following the Whatpeopleplay top ten hit EP "Abrasive".
Written and produced by Ludovic, co-produced by Lucas and designed for both dancefloor and home listening experiences, "The Stranded" is an hour and three minutes trip into the artist’s imagination and experiences observing the rules of Nature and the violence of birth, life and death. 
Musically, "The Stranded" approaches Techno in many ways while keeping Umbra's experimental signature sound at hand. It will make you travel between moods; it will push you to the void as you stand over the edge, and it will drag you to wistfulness for old times while leaving you yearning for a future you have not experienced yet.

Raw, dirty House music grooves: "The Fulfiller" marks the return of Cloche, Ludovic's souful alias, after 2014's "Sweet Romantic Sexy Tunes". 
"The Fulfiller" brings gospelly vocals, feel good fuzzyness and groovy beats to the table, keeping the sexy undertones of Cloche's music while taking it to a more "acoustic" feel. 
Fidelio, the anonymous newcomer on Con+ainer, turns the original upside down, twists the melody and vocals and sprinkles everything on top of a ruthless jackin' drum beat. A razor sharp remix, ready to turn the party into debauchery.

"Taktzeit" by Anders Blickmann it's Con+ainer's return to Techno music releases in 2016. 
Anders Blickmann, born André Tejo, is a portuguese musician, radio host and journalist currently living in Berlin. 
Deeply inspired by nordic culture (Anders is a Scandinavian name), this release somewhat reflects that: cold, industrial sounds echoing on top of grooving, mutating but simple beats. It's definitely a minimal approach to Techno, cutting the fat and keeping the essential elements that already have a life of their own. 
Remixing "Tatkzeit" is Non Gravity Area, Klipar's abstract Techno moniker and Con+ainer's own boss Ludovic who spent the last two years releasing only as Cloche and Umbra. NGA turns Taktzeit into a broken-beat driven track, pushing the main hook to the background and engulfing it in delays to create this eerie track's atmosphere. Groove alert!
Ludovic on the other recreates a densest "Taktzeit" and divides it into three main parts: the two minutes-long intro, the kick and punch bit in the middle and the dreamy outro with a long sustain pad. A track perfect to be the first one on your sets or the one to reset an audience's mood.

Müzmin is a San Francisco-stationed artist on the con+ainer techno base. 
His participation in the recent split EP "The Splits" or his remix work for Umbra left some deep marks in the shipyard. With his first solo release on con+ainer, he sends ambient vibration instead powerful techno transaction from overseas. 5 tracks, different speeds, but the same traveling mood. 
A Techno release so perfect for different scenarios: a break in the clouds in the middle of a stormy DJ set, warm-ups, cruising highways at night or getting ready to travel to another planet. 
31 minutes diving through dub sphere's or taking off to outer space—all systems go. Are you ready to download?
