Dynamic Reflection will celebrate fifteen years of age this year, a milestone that is deserving of a proper celebration. And a proper celebration is what it will have in the form of five various artist EP’s: Liquid Solids, Quantum Realm, Infinite Oscillation, Equilibrium and Eye of Agamotto, each representing one of the five elements of nature.
This first of five releases kicks things into high gear right away. All four tracks combine fast paced rhythms with a certain funkiness and with your eyes closed, it’s hard not to think of the late 90’s and early 00’s. Don’t be surprised to hear these repetitive cuts pop up on primetime slots on a dancefloor near you these coming months.   Liquid Solids is the first part of Dynamic Reflection’s 15 year anniversary celebration: Time Crystals. Epic synths are layered over a foundation of kick and rolling bass, tying the drums together through the rim. My aim was to create a groove that’s simple to listen to, allowing the focus to shift more toward the progression of the main sound element, a build-up of energy that unfolds over time.

If I had to associate this EP with an experience, I’d imagine it as a plane ride: during takeoff, you feel the force pinning you to your seat until the moment the plane lifts off and begins to climb… Up in the air, you feel light, weightless, until the descent begins. Here comes the drop: the wheels touch the runway.

Luigi Madonna has served as a standout talent in the electronic music space for over two decades, armed with an impeccable stream of records that have ushered him into the upper-echelon of dance music.  Serving as a house music visionary for many years, Luigi Madonna’s palette saw a definitive shift into the world of stripped-back techno, bringing with it a host of experimental sensibilities that marked huge maturation in his sound.

A fresh creative outlet for this newfound musical direction, Contempo supplies the underground community with a harder and faster strain of techno that hints at nineties revivalism, whilst breeding contemporary sound design elements. Translating to “with time/tempo”, Contempo references a change in pace for Luigi’s output, opting for 140 + bpm cuts that will no doubt satiate the modern audience’s craving for intense and uncompromising beats.
