Rising Spanish producer RNGD joins the Soma ranks with a full release debut on the Hardbleep EP. Having made his initial debut with a track on the SOMA NEU Vol. 1 compilation, subsequent demos gave light to a fully fledged release. This expertly crafted 5 track EP shows RNDG’s production skills are aimed at the highest level.

Opening track R25 utilises hypnotic synths to build tension against driving percussive elements. Title track Hardbleep leans on tougher low end to create a powerful drive whilst still keeping true to RNGD’s hypnotic style. Shapeless is up next as harsh stabs are the backbone of the tracks set again to relentless percussion. Immoral is a percussive, tribal style, drum workout with subtle synth hooks bolstering the rhythm throughout. *Bandcamp exclusive track Bulk is another hypnotic workout in RNGD’s perfectly executed style.

Luigi Madonna has served as a standout talent in the electronic music space for over two decades, armed with an impeccable stream of records that have ushered him into the upper-echelon of dance music.  Serving as a house music visionary for many years, Luigi Madonna’s palette saw a definitive shift into the world of stripped-back techno, bringing with it a host of experimental sensibilities that marked huge maturation in his sound.

A fresh creative outlet for this newfound musical direction, Contempo supplies the underground community with a harder and faster strain of techno that hints at nineties revivalism, whilst breeding contemporary sound design elements. Translating to “with time/tempo”, Contempo references a change in pace for Luigi’s output, opting for 140 + bpm cuts that will no doubt satiate the modern audience’s craving for intense and uncompromising beats.
