TechSafari Records are proud to presenting you the first episode from the new dj mixing series of the label, head honcho of Techsafari records DJ Rikam takes control the first episode with some of his favorite ones, enjoy.

DJ Rikam has been a leading DJ in the Canadian psytrance scene for over two decades. He has been passionate about electronic music and psytrance culture for over 30 years.

Through all these various experiences in the electronic music industry and psytrance culture, DJ Rikam has played in several festivals and events in several countries such as Brazil, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, United States, Mexico, Morocco, Thailand, India [Goa], Panama, Nepal and Canada. His musical selection, his intensity and his long performances behind the decks have always earned him the label of an audience favorite and still remain a staple of the North American psytrance scene.

XAMANIST [Yellow Sunshine Explosion Records] PT
Xamanist is Sérgio Ribeiro, a Portuguese musician, composer and producer. Since childhood he has played guitar and synths and experimented with electronic compositions.
With no surprise he became interested in Goa trance and psytrance after discovering the psychedelic world at Boom Festival 2000.

After maturing his own original style for years he established the Xamanist project, blending old with new, darkness with light and melody with rhythm.
His music is fresh and eclectic, dwelling from progressive and psytechno to psychedelic fullon, frequently infused with oldschool Goa trance melodies.
His creations excel in flow and storytelling and induce a high degree of psychedelism.

Xamanist has released 3 albums, several EPs and singles on renowned labels such as Yellow Sunshine Explosion, Sol Music, Antu Records and Let It Out Records.

The talented and devoted Dj Psykinetic has over 30 years DJing and event management experience. His passion and respect for music is clearly reflected and evident through his unique and creative style of mixing and track selection.
Neil plays each of his sets straight from the heart with passion, energy, skill and affection that instantly builds an intense and uplifting connection with any crowd.

Over the years, Neil’s inspiring journey has resulted in residencies at Antiworld, Psy-Gate, Psychedelic Academy, Psychology and Symmetry Festival. He has also made guest appearances at Glastonbury, Boomtown, Illuminaughty, Universe Paralello, plus featured at London's favourite parties such as Psymera, Butterfly Effect, Secret Soma, Elixir of Life, Illusion, Boogie Woogie and Cohesion to name a few.

Neil has just signed to Yellow Sunshine Explosion as a label DJ and released the mega GOA series volumes 74 -75 & 76 compilation.

PSYAGRA [UK]
Psyagra is a Scottish based Psychedelic Trance DJ and trainee producer. He also dabbles in some Progressive House/Trance and Techno.
Psyagra started Djing at the age of 19 back in the day of vinyl. Starting out playing mainly Hard House, Trance and Hard Trance. 2005 was when he discovered Psychedelic Trance and has never looked back.

He is currently a resident DJ for Anarchy Events and also has a monthly Psytrance show on KL Radio In The Mix on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 5pm UK time and features regular streams on Youtube and Twitch.

Arhetip is a progressive psytrance project established by Jovan Nikolic and Milan Djumic from Belgrade / Serbia. These childhood friends have decided to embark on a new musical voyage in 2012, after years of Dj-ing and working together on their other project ''Silver Sun''. It came as no surprise that shortly after their debut EP release for Synergetic records came to light in 2012, they managed to grab the attention of various labels like Tesseract Studio, Iono music, TechSafari, Digital OM, Yellow Sunshine Explosion, Plusquam, Digital Nature, etc. With their follower base steadily growing, the duo is focused on creating their distinctive signature by combining their extensive production skills and DJ experience into the creative process. Their debut album 'The Absolute' which was released in late 2015 on TesseracTstudio records, represented an important milestone, as well as a breakthrough for the duo. As they continue to perfect their work on psychedelic sound textures, the future seems bright, with many new releases, collaborations, and remixes coming your way soon.

Xavier L.-B. alias Contrapunctus est un producteur de Psytrance progressive et un mélomane dans l’âme depuis l’enfance. Il gagne aujourd’hui sa vie comme altiste au sein de différents ensembles et orchestres symphoniques comme interprète classique et il se passionne pour la musique électronique underground. 

Sa première rencontre avec la Psytrance, au festival Timeless 2017, l’a profondément marqué. Il décide alors de produire sa propre sonorité en suivant des cours avec le producteur d’ici  bien connu Black Marvin. La musique de Contrapunctus est envoutante, infusée de rythmes juxtaposés, de mélodies évolutives et de paysages sonores pouvant évoquer des musiques orchestrales. Son univers musical combine nouveauté et tradition de façon organique, le tout dans un style Psy/Prog unique. Son nom d’artiste, en ce sens, fait référence à une technique d’écriture utilisée par Jean-Sébastien Bach qui consiste à entremêler plusieurs lignes mélodiques pour former un amalgame harmonieux.

En 2023, Contrapunctus rejoint le collectif québécois Abduction Tales et sort son premier EP Creatio, ainsi que le single  Dignity sous étiquette Adhara Records.

Xavier L.-B. aka Contrapunctus is a progressive Psytrance producer and musician. A music lover from a very young age, he’s now a professional violist, playing in various groups and symphony orchestras as a classical performer, and is passionate about underground electronic music.
 
His first encounter with Psytrance, at Timeless Festival 2017, had an enormous impact on him. As a result, he decided to produce his own sound by taking classes with well-known Canadian producer Black Marvin. Contrapunctus’s music is captivating, infused with juxtaposed rhythms, evolving melodies, and soundscapes that evoke orchestral music. His musical universe combines novelty and tradition in an organic manner, all in a unique Psy/Prog style. In this regard, his artist name refers to a writing technique used by Johann Sebastian Bach in which multiple melodic lines are interwoven to form a harmonious combination.

In 2023, Contrapunctus joined the Quebec collective Abduction Tales, and released his first EP Creatio as well as his single Dignity on Adhara Records.
