Background
In late August 2017, Avicii released the official remix stems for 'Without You'. Unable to participate in the original contest, due to my Mum tragically passing away, I never got a chance to even attempt making a remix. However after his death, I was inspired to honour his life and music someway or another. 

Avicii was a huge inspiration to me when I first started producing electronic music. His simple yet effective and iconic melodies, clean mix-downs, slick presentation and cool-as-fuck style all influenced my early days of the 'GiMMiX' project and has since continued to influence the way I present and release my music today.

With this remix / tribute, I wanted to keep the positive vibes and feeling of joy throughout whilst adding a flavour of my own. 'Without You' in particular has gotten me through some incredibly tough times and continues to do so to this day, so being able to properly remix it with all the stems and everything was not only a fascinating experience but also a privilege. 

I hope that wherever Tim is now, he's in a better place. He truly deserves it after all the awful things he had to suffer through and all the greatness he left behind. 
Never forget the people who inspired you to do great things, because without them we would be nothing. Without Avicii, this musical journey I'm on wouldn't have even been possible.
