Contra is the name of the provocative and experimental project launched by American producer and DJ Skrillex in 2025. Conceived as a cry of artistic rebellion, Contra marks a radical shift in the artist's career, challenging the conventional norms of contemporary electronic music.

The project debuted with the compilation album "Fuck U Skrillex," a chaotic, raw, and visceral work released on the legendary Los Angeles-based record label OWSLA. Far from seeking mainstream approval, this work served as a manifesto against the predictable formula that, according to Skrillex, had invaded the scene.

"Contra" not only represents a sonic break, but also a conceptual one: it is the antithesis of the Skrillex who dominated EDM festivals during the previous decade. More than just an album, "Fuck U Skrillex" is a declaration of creative war, and Contra is its most direct vehicle. With this project, Skrillex proves that even at the top, you can still be disruptive, uncomfortable, and dangerously innovative.
