Touch - Oberon King Quintet

Contrapunto Collective is a new multicultural collective formed in London by emerging young artists from the field of jazz and improvised music. What makes Contrapunto Collective unique is the diversity of sound brought by the different cultural influences and experiences of each individual member. Their mutual passion for jazz, contemporary music and improvisation has inspired them to create a collective that enables each project and member to share their music and reach out to new audiences.
The collective aims to encourage new musical collaborations between its members as well as with other musicians, support and promote new work from its projects and launch a record label where new albums from the projects will be released.
“Contrapunto” (meaning in Latin “point against point”) was founded by the saxophonist-clarinetist Rob Milne, pianist Maria Chiara Argirò and bassist Thodoris Ziarkas; it currently consists of different members from the UK, Italy, Greece, South America, Ireland and Belgium.
