The devotion to music, the search for the sound, the new and
the obsession with crowd on the dancefloor is reflected in NICI´s sets.

Disco Suicide Mix Series 068 - Nici Palm

Never Been Blonde is the DJ name of Kev Williams who began his dj'ing in the early 90's playing parties in Glasgow, Scotland. Here he held events with a host of local talent including Craig Morrison & Graeme Reedie who went on to from Silicone Soul. By 1996 Kev was playing at a few club nights and putting on his own monthly events in an old warehouse that was also used as a practice studio for bands to rehearse.  These warehouse parties were "a bit mental" starting around 10pm & finishing around 6.00am, Like all good things they eventually had to shut as they were attracting the wrong kind of attention. In 1998 he played for the last time at a club in Falkirk. The music scene there was not going the way he had hoped for, "they wanted Robert Miles NOT Robert Hood!!"
After a lengthy hiatus Kev dusted off his decks again when he found different styles of music that he liked emerging towards the end of the twenty teens. Then when lock down happened playing his decks was all he did for while, quickly reinvigorating his passion for music.  
In 2023 his old pals Silicone Soul brought Local Suicide to Glasgow and as he  hadn't seen Craig in ages he thought it would be good to catch up, That night to everyone's surprise Local Suicide introduced him to Counterterraism founder Duncan. Kev was already a follower of Counterterraism and today we are happy to be welcome him to the Guest Mix Series with this excellent offering.

Today we present the Co-founder of @hookupagency. We have a hidden talent from CDMX, H (@hmusicmx )
Great producer, dj, party enthusiast, talent scout, party planner.
Oswaldo already with a great career in Mexican electronic music, having edited for labels such as Logia Records, Maleante among others.
In his sessions he tries to be indulgent, varying styles, but always preserving the structure of the song as a personal well-being. He prepared us a very dynamic set, dark as we like.
This artist has gone from playing at the conservatory, to having a well-known band from the cdmx of electronic cumbia (sonido sabrosong), to having a duo entitled "H" with Karla on violins. His career is reaching a very juicy point, being the resident of Hook Up's daily streams.

Here is a mixtape that reflects my personality and taste in dance music, with this mix I was inclined to fuse indie dance and Dark Disco to tell my story of the past months. This style has also been influencing the sound of our brand-new label @levant disco, as well as our musical taste in the future of dance music, deriving in it many musical ideals. Mon cher Guy is a DJ and producer from Paris, who stands out for her retro-melodic style with an indie dance sound, a musical genre that oscillates between the nostalgia of post-disco, the melodic structure of alternative and indie rock and the contemporary energy of dance.

Her love of music began at an early age, as a clarinet player. Today, Mon cher Guy strives to democratize the indie dance genre around a sunny, energetic atmosphere. 

In 2023, she played over forty shows, including the Rex Club, Badaboum, Marvellous Island festival and Cocorico Electro. Her latest track, "Malfunction", is out on Swedish label Club Mackan, and her first EP will be released this autumn. Get yourself a glimpse of what is yet to come in mix no. 19 including an unreleased edit of Mon cher Guy herself!
