In Hour 2 it's Nicolas Morant aka Nikitch a classically trained musician who has worked with Andreya Triana, Tambour Battant, Dj Cam, Grems, and Submotion Orchestra. His latest EP "All The Best" was released in November on Cascade Records and supported by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Laurent Garner and LeFtO. He had this to say about his mix;
"This mix & selection includes tracks of what I’m digging most in music : harmony-driven, soulful and energy.                 Project: Mooncircle, as the name reveals, has been on a journey to the moon since day one, exploring the frontiers of music and art, always looking for new discoveries and giving a different perspective to look at the earth. In it’s 10 year history the label has published roughly 100 releases by equally as many artists from all corners of this globe and, therefore, the selection of sounds on this compilation represents the development of the label from the past, present and going into the future.

The logo and artwork represent someone who was very close to the label, especially in the early years but unfortunately passed on and whom this box is dedicated to. Back in 2002, High C of the Dallas Texas based crate digging crew Rehash and DJ Raj Mahal of Soul Strut would swap mixes to feature on each other's site (Real Audio style).  The mixes usually contained loads of breaks and beats lifted from obscure 70s jazz & funk, with the occasional soundtrack and prog record thrown in.  I present you exhibit A.
