Jakub Helinski aka Controlwerk constantly builds his reputation as one of the leading polish producers of young generation. With releases on such labels as Alter Ego, Spring Tube, PHW, Incepto and Stellar Fountain he easily drew attention from prominent figures of electronic music scene worldwide. As a second installment of 2015 Electronic Tree proudly present Controlwerk's "Far Nearer" EP which is a follow up to memorable "The Awakening" single warmly received in july last year. Jakub's sound developed meanwhile to much more dark and subtle areas, yet not losing it's melodic side. Outstanding atmosphere in both included originals brings to mind some trippy works by such artists as Nhar or Ryan Davis. Definitely a great comeback by Jakub and we hope for more from him this year!

Sound Avenue begins the new year by showcasing new interpretations of Madloch & Subnode's ‘Lion's Mane'. Originally landing in March of last year it marked the Belgian imprints 100th release. Backed by remixes from Navar and Bookwood, the project earned praise from progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. It continued what has been a creative partnership between the Belgian artists, ultimately leading to new studio experiments due out later this year. Sound Avenue now re-visits the duo's ‘Lion's Mane', by inviting Dmitry Molosh and B.A.X. to re-interpret the track for 2020.

Back again with another deadly package, its the mighty Sudbeat, and taking firm controls once again are label boss Hernan Cattaneo and studio partner Soundexile.
This time we are graced with Cityism, a deep hypnotic melodic housey tinged techster with layers of synths and sounds meeting fx and spoken vocal samples. The deep bass drives this along while the melodies tinkle brightly.
The seriously on form Pig & Dan step up with the first of the remixes, and strip things right back with an infectious techno groove that punches along, and then builds with drum fills and snippets of melody, and as the tension builds the melody develops - all the while keeping it solid and deep.
Richie G a definite rising talent on the scene is next on remix duties, and delivers a contagious number with distinctive pads, a moving tough yet profound bassline, vocal snippets and tight production that locks you right in. Another top remix.
To close the package is the Dub Mix from Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile who utilse the main elements from the original, but strip things back and increase the intensity while taking us deeper with its driving, almost rolling bassline.
