A 'sound diary' where the journey edges towards time fading away and the 'lights going out'.  It was quite a personal tune to make with an appreciation that it's not a 'hit', more so a tune needing a place to be heard.

So... a few years ago during university work, I begged, blagged and possibly pestered many for interviews.  One such kind person being Danny Farrant, currently drumming for Buzzcocks.  This interview is unedited for a bit of clarity and 'in the moment' atmosphere.  I rather loved this moment standing on the streets of Soho with microphone at hand, just listening and talking away. As part of The Shakespeare Connection about towns, cities and villages connecting an individual story to William Shakespeare, Alex Hawkins starts off in Dorset in the coastal town of Lyme Regis to journey through the history and the connection with the life of Sir George Somers.

During a visit to Punchbowl Festival 2018, a small family run event in Wiltshire, celebrating music, friends and having fun in a field to wind down, wind up, eat cake and talk to amazing people.  The festival, organised by Annelies Henny, raises money for the Wylye Valley Disabled Children’s Riding Fund.  With thanks to all, a rather wonderful festival. 

I hope this small recording in time does just that, captures a moment of memories.

Molten Chimes creates deep concentration into nostalgia, the sounds and desires all swirling alongside the distorted chimes of an ice cream van lulling us towards the positives.  Mangled vocals are overlaid with instrumentation rather than this be a ‘sung’ track or precise meaning behind vocal and melody, on purpose it needs to be listened to.  It perhaps confuses, annoys, or delights.

Experience with the BBC Radio 3 sound production team at Maida Vale, The Barbican and Wigmore Hall.  Working with engineers Anne McKay and Philip Burwell whilst at Uni paved a vision on sound engineering techniques and control during recording and working around sound.  

Conveyance Space became a BBC introducing artist, influences are always open and microphones still ready, always grateful to those who stop by.
