Bio Robot Koch

Robot Koch is an award-winning artist/composer from Berlin, living in Los Angeles.
He has been steadily crafting an original sound that expertly combines a deep and cinematic atmosphere, emotional reflection, and forward-thinking production.
He remixed the likes of Max Richter, Rammstein, and Christian Löffler, collaborated with conductor Kristjan Järvi and the Nordic Pulse Orchestra, and played high-profile live shows at Coachella, Mutek, Sonar Festival, and Boiler Room.

BlankFor.ms uses degraded tapes and analog synthesizers to create sounds meant more for the body than the mind. He has become a notable figure in the world of experimental/ambient music, garnering accolades, high-profile remixes, and 95k followers across social media. 

His performance videos on Instagram were pivotal in inspiring an entire genre of top-down musical documentation on social platforms. 

His samples have been used by thousands of artists, including a cameo in the recent Ethan Gruska/Bon Iver single "So Unimportant". 

Over the next year he has a massive "Artist Series" instrument coming out with one of the world's most popular VST makers, a feature video in Ableton's "One Thing" series, and a video game score with an award winning software publisher. 

His contributions can be heard on records by Micah Jasper, Kiefer (Stones Throw), Robot Koch (Trees and Cyborgs), and many others. He has provided remixes for The Cinematic Orchestra, Arthur Moon, and Para One. Tyler grew up in rural Wyoming.

Yavor Zografski, aka SMYAH, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Sofia, Bulgaria. He boasts a career as a music production teacher at Sound Ninja Academy, and the owner of the Sound In Picture multimedia label. With such a complimentary rolodex of skills, it's no wonder that his latest incoming release, Narratives, is such a significant and wide-reaching collection of tracks. As such, The Rust is incredibly excited to premiere the song "Labyrinths” ahead of the full Narratives release. 

The percussion-driven backbone of “Labyrinths” creates a sense of urgency and motion, while the ethereal synths and atmospheric sounds transport the listener to a surreal and otherworldly realm. The track's intricate and evolving textures are layered with precision, creating a complex sonic landscape that reveals new elements with each listen. Use of subtle melodies and organic sounds, such as bird chirps and rustling leaves, add a touch of naturalism to the otherwise electronic composition, creating a timeless combination of organic and digital elements. „Start from yourself. From your organs, your whole body, then the social environment, streets, cities—everything your mind can understand, human-made or natural, constructive or destructive, working only for some’s benefit or aimlessly drifting—all are systems within systems.
Systems are made for their function, each important and valid while they serve change. Growth is inevitable; it’s not a system but greater than that. Its meaning cannot be understood by thought, and therefore any system, ultimately locked in its limitations, is destined to fail.
There is no system to hold on to! If you pursue this diligently enough, realizing with clear resistance that all concepts will dissolve only to mutate into the next one, you acknowledge that all systems fail.“

This EP is the fusion of poet Ulaş Ekim Toprak and electronic producer Julia Häller, aka Chewlie. Heavy on bass and poetry, this piece is a debut statement of our project. "All Systems Fail" is an elegy that illuminates the failure of all systems of separation, identity, exploitation, authority, and oppression!

STREIKTHROUGH is a collaborative sound and performance project by producer and DJ Chewlie and poet Ulaş Ekim Toprak, both based in Switzerland. Driven by a shared desire to blend bass-heavy, ethereal electronic music with thought-provoking poetry, the project transforms contemporary political phenomena into a sonic experience.

By blurring the boundaries between rhythm and atmosphere in electronica and club music, while evoking the power of spoken word, STREIKTROUGH ventures into unexplored territory, harnessing the strengths of both artistic disciplines.

Ivan Shopov is an artist with many faces, he’s а painter, musician, producer, composer, aesthete and an innovator.
Graduated an MA in print making from The National Academy of Arts in Sofia, he’s the author of numerous ink and acrylic pieces. He’s often drawing and designing artworks and posters for his own projects and for those of popular artists in the electronic scene. So far he’s done eight solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad.

Ivan Shopov has been involved in over 250 musical releases, among which we find both solo and collaborative albums. This has established him as one of the leading figures in the European electronic underground. His various projects span over genres like drum and bass, IDM, jazz, ambient, techno, rock and classical music. Ivan Shopov has released over 120 vinyls for some of the biggest international labels. A part of his own production and the works of artists who he believes in can be found released via his two labels Etheraudio Records and ABCD.

Ivan is working as a composer scoring contemporary dance and theatre productions. He’s contributed music and sound design to various video and short film project, interactive art installations. Since 2012 he’s written the music for 15 dance pieces by Derida Dance. In 2017 one of them is awarded the prestigious “IKAR” award. Shopov has been publishing soundpacks which are often found in the production of fellow electronic artists.

What really separates Ivan Shopov from the other artists in his field is the way he’s mixing traditional Bulgarian folklore with electronic music and jazz. This way he’s building a bridge between his country’s musical history and the current tastes of his audience. Among his most popular releases in this direction are “Kanatitsa” with Avigeya, “InFusion” with Theodosii Spassov, “Kuker” and “Orenda” with Бalkansky.

Ivan Shopov is keen on sharing his knowledge and has been a demanded lecturer and teacher. Besides regularly doing workshops and online courses, since 2016 he’s been lecturing Analog and digital sound design at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia. With 20+ years of experience he’s also regularly working as a mixing and mastering engineer.

The European stages who’ve experienced Ivan’s music are numerous. During his international tours he’s reached USA, South America, Russia, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
