But the silence hits harder than the words you’d choose.
I rehearsed what I’d say if you ever replied,
But the dots never danced, and the truth never lied.
I was left on read, but I still read into it,
Every pause, every breath, every half-written bit.
You moved on like a song that I never got to sing,
Now I’m stuck in the verse where you pulled out the string.
We were more than a trend, more than hearts on a thread—
But I guess even ghosts leave you left on read.
Your hoodie’s still hanging like it’s waiting for air,
I tried to wash it, but the scent’s still there.
My friends say I’m better, that I dodged a fall,
But they don’t know I still sleep on your side of the wall.
