"Warm Flicker" is the first single from the first rocomoco album "Into The Blue" (September 2021)

The track combines downtempo music and lofi hip hop. It is inspired by the vibe of Nineties music from Kruder and Dorfmeister, Rockers Hifi or Guru's Jazzmatazz and you will hear the crunch and the dust of nowadays lofi hip hop productions.  

One of the samples contains the shout out “Keep it warm flicker” which leads to the main topic of the track. Warm Flicker sentimentally looks back to real live moments when the flame of a candle and a good friend by your side had been enough to make you feel at home in the world. Today the computer screens have replaced the candles. Even tho it is a cold type of light, LED monitors are able to evoke cozy illusions of social participation. They are keeping us entertained and they are holding us back from asking and overthinking too much.

Papi Churro is the project between producer The Breed and guitarist Richard Holzmann. They started their adventure in 2020, to combine beats with Latin and Mexican folk music influences. They collaborated with Saib, the Moroccan producer based in Berlin, renowned for his soulful beats. Together, the musicians created the blissful ‘Copa de Mare’. This track is a call for summer thanks to its bossa melody layered over a punchy hip-hop beat. Fresh as ice cubes, go relax in the sun and feel the beat.
