Following on from drops on his own Jugaar imprint, Karachi mainstay Rudoh is back with his Infinite Blue E.P. for Voigtmann’s indelible Subsequent label. Having graced dancefloors from Bangkok to London it’s safe to say Rudoh is on the rise, his productions have gained a variety of followers including Emerald, Roza Terenzi, Bambounou, and DJ Masda. Consisting of four slabs of refined breakbeat architecture the E.P. stakes out a blueprint for modern drum programming and thoughtful pad work.

The opener “Be With Me” is a clear statement of intent. A weaving break pattern adorned with airy synth pads, it eventually introduces a kind of vocal science rooted in UK garage culture, the steady bassline pulsating all the way through.

This is followed by “Getting There” which drifts in with lush ambient chords, and a kick and snare with the right type of chunk. Bubbling synths enter along that develop as the track picks up filtered vox drops and effects. It’s a thought-provoking piece that will keep dancefloors interested way into the early hours.

“Ima Hold This” takes on a darker edge. Its full-bodied bassline and UK-MC vocal chops lay the foundation for wistful pads that flow in and out as it builds. It’s a track that is as comfortable in the headphones as it is on the dance floor.

On the B2 Rudoh gifts us with an instrumental mix of “Be With Me”. The lack of vocals on this dub gives listeners the chance to delve deeper into its twinkling synth excursion.

Permanent Vacation is very happy to bring you the debut EP of our long-time friend Sara Miller, hailing from Berlin via Ireland. For years Sara has been involved in club culture and its different aspects: from organising her own “Naive Melodies” parties and DJing in the city's best venues to working as a sound engineer and finally producing her own music. Following Sara's acclaimed debut track “Orange Sea”, which was part of the Permanent Vacation 7 compilation, it's now time for her first full EP titled “Lunar Theory”. On the EP's four tracks, Sara has drawn inspiration from her broad musical knowledge and years of DJing experience and party wizardry. You can detect influences from classic 90's house, breakbeat, Italo and Acid in her tracks, all combined into a fresh and sparkling result. But music is not the only source of inspiration for this notorious night owl; nighttime and its celestial companion, the moon, are equally important to Sara’s work. Moskalus was born and currently resides in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He started his musical journey back in 2007 when he created his first YouTube channel where he would upload music from various artists to help them promote their music. With his second channel, he started doing music videos because he wanted to be a part of the scene, not only as a regular uploader, but as someone who wanted to express his own feelings. In November 2014, he had his first big break by making the music video for Bambounou's track "Onto This" which was released on 50 Weapons. After that, he gained a greater audience that helped him to work with labels such as: Lobster Theremin, Shall Not Fade, Die Orakel, Pinkman and Lehult. He has also had the opportunity to work with artists such as: Baltra, Fjaak, J. Albert and Benedikt Frey.
After years of listening to music and making videos for such artists, Moskalus has developed a wide-ranging taste. In his DJ sets you can expect to hear anything from disco to house, techno, UK Garage or dubstep from the golden era.

This year marks 15 years since I started my service in the online underground. Time flies when you are having fun right?! I remember when I (as non dj) heard something on the radio back then, that was just it. Nobody put that on soundcloud or youtube for you to listen to again. I was telling myself there must be more people that want to listen to some tracks over and over again. That's how it all started. Ripping tracks from radio shows, uploading some cool tracks that were hot in that time period (remember post-dubstep & future garage?),there were even a few people sending me their music to upload! The moment I started doing the video edits was life changing. Not only for me but for all the people we (music youtubers) made hot in the era of lo-fi house. Happy to see some of them rockin big stages today!

Since then, this has been my everyday, 24/7/365! Paid my dues & made the sacrifices. Was it worth it? Damn right! Though I have to admit that I never intended to start djing myself. I was forced to by the community! I am happy I sold my bike so I can buy speakers and started.

Music took me around the world. With music I met a bunch of amazing people who did not hesitate to spend their money and time just to meet the guy they know from youtube. For this I will forever be grateful!

Like 5 years ago, also this time I have a mix for you! I just wanted to put together a mix full of my all time favorite jams. The result is an almost six hour journey through different genres & styles. I also wanted to include music made by people I have some history with. Baltra, Bambounou, Fjaak, Route 8 or Kettama, to name a few (and a whole lotta more!). Expect a lot of hits! Slow jams, House, Techno, UK sound and more.

Thanks for believing in me, it truly means everything!
