After a tough and hard-working week it felt good to let loose and get lost in the music that I just recently discovered and material that I re-discovered. Lets hope UMG doesn't shut this show down. I'm still working on making this show the best that it can possibly be despite me being on the road a lot lately. 

This week's highlight is really about @samgellaitry once again. The 17 year old producer is a special artist that is hard for us to stop talking about. I also went into a nice segment half way through the show where I wet through 2008-2009 golden era beats as well as some 2009-2012 classics.

It's so necessary to remember your roots and go back to where it all started with yourself. Oh yeah another thing, remember to always do what you love. Make time for it. We'll be back in Europe next month, stay tuned. -Joe Kay

That’s armor for the soul, not just a human being but a soul pumping machine with lion blood genes, a king/
to say the least, for years i been eating the scraps now I’mma feast/

Felt good to return with another stacked show full of forgotten music that I think you should rediscover or learn of. I have to say that since i've started my show on Rinse, it has been the toughest 4 weeks as far as preparing and performing the show. It's all part of the legacy though. I have never had to dig this hard in my life! I really kept this show smooth and highlighted a lot of neo-soul and melodic tracks. No matter how advanced or "future" the music keeps getting, I can't help but go back to my roots. We are still fighting a never ending battle against the majors which is why we have to dig harder but at the end of it all it will all be alright.
