Why do we volunteer?

Margeret, an active member of Age Concern, learned to podcast in just three short weeks. This is her piece on OAPs and London travel, which she collected from CoolTan and the surrounding area in Elephant and Castle…definately a hoptspot for travel trials and tribulations!

In a total of nine hours tuition, Margeret learned to use the portable recording equipment and edited the piece.

CoolTan Arts volunteers Will and Mohammed are outside in the sun in front of the building. Will discusses gardening on a low budget, as he has been taking care of the CoolTan entrance which is in a blooming good state!  Mohammed, a student on exchange from Tanzania, is making sandals out of old tyres with a view to giving future workshops on tyre sandal making. Both have tips on recycling that you won’t hear elsewhere!
