I made this remix/edit of Lockdown for my Defqon.1 liveact. I didn't know whether to release it or not, but I figured since it has been a while I shall release this for free :) As I wrote on my FB page, I have had some pretty big changes in my personal life which took up some time to sort all out. It's all good, better than before :)

I actually completely re-did the track in my new studio, to take advantage of the improved acoustics and to create a very nice sounding master. Really happy with the result!

So, here it is: enjoy, and the next NEW solotrack is almost ready as well. I'm back <3

After the huge success of ‘All Around’ in 2014 and beyond, there was no stopping Noisecontrollers creatively as he has been focussing on his next big project – a digital studio album!  

Going by the name ‘All Night Long,’ the studio album’s sole aim is to focus on musical diversity, sound design and of course, experimentation. As a collection of assorted studio material from 2013-2015, one thing that is for sure – you can expect the very best!

So what can we expect to hear from ‘All Night Long?’ According to Noisecontrollers himself, the studio album can be described as a combination of styles beyond boundaries that personally inspire him, an artistic and sophisticated approach to music, all produced with extraordinary precision in sound design.

Falling into the Night (Extended Club Mix)

Falling into the Night ist ein Deep-Trance-Track, der nicht auf den ersten Schlag zielt, sondern auf den Weg dorthin.
Der lange Intro-Vorlauf öffnet bewusst Raum: Nacht, Bewegung, innere Ruhe. Erst wenn die Atmosphäre steht, setzt der Beat ein – nicht als Bruch, sondern als Fortsetzung.

Die Stimme bleibt nah und präsent, mit sparsamen Delays, fast sprechend, leicht wehmütig. Sie führt nicht nach außen, sondern nach innen.
Der Track arbeitet mit mehreren Drops, die nicht über Lautstärke funktionieren, sondern über emotionale Zustände: Fall, Verarbeitung, Akzeptanz.

Der Prophet-artige Lead mit Filterarbeit übernimmt dabei eine tragende Rolle – kein klassischer Snare-Build, sondern Spannung über Melodie und Bewegung.
So entsteht ein Club-Track, der auch ohne Tanzfläche funktioniert: für Nachtfahrten, Kopfhörer, lange Übergänge.

Remix-Gedanken:
Der Track bietet bewusst Platz für alternative Lesarten. Denkbar sind:

eine noch reduziertere Deep-Version mit Fokus auf Pads und Stimme

ein hypnotischer Afterhour-Remix mit minimalem Groove

oder eine instrumentale Version, in der der Lead die Rolle der Stimme vollständig übernimmt

Der Kern bleibt dabei immer gleich:
Nicht der Drop ist das Ziel – sondern das Fallen selbst.
