Coop & Jones are a UK trance duo, making a huge impact on the scene with their energetic sets and commanding stage presence.

Gareth “2Dark” Jones started listening to the sounds of hardcore and jungle back in the early 90’s. After attending Dreamscape when he was just 14, his love affair for dance music was cemented. The cross over to trance came after his first night out at the iconic Peach in London and was further developed during his Uni years, as he became a Slinky regular.

For Lindon Cooper, Gatecrasher in Sheffield gave him his initiation to the trance scene and it’s not hard to see why he loved it so much, being one of the top clubs at the time with residents Scott Bond and Matt Hardwick. His dedication later developed to include Godskitchen at Code every Friday night, meaning his weekend mileage attending both nights was in access of 400 miles.

After speaking online for many years, a chance meeting at Trance Sanctuary 4 years ago quickly developed into a firm friendship and mutual appreciation of the same music. The rest is – as they say, history.

Their production style is powerful and uplifting - tough and gritty. It's no wonder when they list the likes of Bryan Kearney, John O Callaghan, John Askew and Darren Porter as their musical influences. With two releases currently under their belts on Discover Digital and Discover White label they have already received early support from some of the coolest names out there – including Madwave, Manuel Le Saux and Oberon.

In addition, they have played at some of the most respected events in the country including Remedy (Monster Ball and Masquerade Ball), Ministry of Sound, Tidy Weekender, Godskitchen, Goodgreef Trance Cruise, United Festival and Frantic's 18th Birthday at Koko.

This coming May will see them achieve one of their biggest ambitions – to play at Trance Sanctuary, at the Mental Asylum night, alongside Indecent Noise, Reorder and James Dymond.

In 2016 there are more productions on the horizon from the dynamic duo as well as a busy gig diary. The future is certainly looking exciting for these hugely talented artists.
