Introducing: Co.operative

Co.operative is a collaborative music project by a group of singers in Chicago.

Among us are a diversity of musical vocabularies and histories. We've sung in choirs, in church, in jazz bands, and in the shower. We are writers and performers, activists and employees, teachers and students.

And we're creating something new, together.

Beginning in autumn 2020 and culminating in the Spring of 2021 we will be conceiving, composing, and producing an album of original music for our voices.

Here on this website and on social media, we'll show you our work as we create it and our process as we design it, from sketch to finished product.

We'll learn a lot about singing, about collaboration, about ourselves and each other as we go along, and we want to share that experience with you.
