It was quite a skill to be able to hypnotise someone in such a fashion, to encourage their inhibitions to leave their body and fly wild with the wind. This was no magic trick or a play on words but a full blown takeover of mind and soul.

CoOp Presents is an all-new record label, founded by IG Culture and Alex Phountzi, set to focus on the depth and wealth of talent that exists within the London Bruk movement and beyond, a project which they consider to be a continuation in the same spirit of the legendary CoOp movement. Their second release features tracks from EVM128, Cengiz, James Rudie, Entek, Miraa May, and Danvers (@ddanvers) who comes in with 'My Nina' - a deep vibesy breakbeat opener that chops away, flipping its groove several times through the track.

Next up on Eglo Records, we're pleased to announce the forthcoming LP release by Steve Spacek, 'Natural Sci-Fi' hits stores December 7th.

Natural Sci-Fi originally began production in 2005, shortly after the release of the now classic ‘Spaceshift’ album (which included the J-Dilla collaboration ‘Dollar’), but was never completed. Over the last few years Steve has added some tweaks and changes - including a new song and guests vocalists Oddisee and Natalie Slade - eventually finalising the project and readying it for its release in 2018. The album continues the post Spaceshift vibration of Steve’s signature production style and effortless vocal delivery. Swinging spaciously from past to present, packed with soul, sounding as fresh and relevant today as it did when it began back in 2005.

Since the albums inception Steve has released projects with Mark Pritchard as one half of Africa Hitech on Warp, an instrumental LP as Black Pocket for his brother D-Bridge’s Exit Records and a concept LP as Beat Spacek for Ninja Tune. Following a string of EP releases for Eglo over the last two years we are thrilled to finally be able to bring to you a full length release from one of the UK’s most unique and talented artists.

Cengiz is a London based dj and producer who is a proud member of the Selectors Assemble collective.

Having established a name for himself releasing music on the CoOp Presents label - brainchild of the legendary IG Culture and Alex Phountzi, Cengiz now releases a collection of his previously unreleased early works.

The first volume of the series also includes a special remix from the one and only James Rudie (Selectors Assemble / Dance Regular).
