Shine was commissioned by Castle of our Skins in celebration of our 10th anniversary and is inspired by U-Meleni Mhlaba-Adeboʼs poem "We Shine Bright." The music journeys through different forms of brightness, from radiant kaleidoscopes, to warm sun rays, to intoxicating glimmers of shimmering yellow bleeding through cracks in dark spaces. These lights are hope, love, and strength. They shine on promise and they shine from the heart.
