Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto are Colombian cumbia roots icons, legendary in their homeland as guardians of ancient regional musical and cultural traditions. Here they are joined by another legend, On-U Sound founder and dub producer Adrian Sherwood. Alongside Llorona Records ́s Diego Gómez, Sherwood and the band have created an absolutely unique sound that seamlessly blends timeless cumbia rhythms and sonorities with powerfully restrained dub mixing.

It is no exaggeration or hyperbole to call this mystical music, a heart-centered psychogeographical journey from the Caribbean Coast of Colombia through Jamaica and UK dubscapes. The heartbeat rhythms this team explores so deftly unite musical cultures in such a natural way that the sound they produce feels almost inevitable. Vocal exhortations, massed flutes, organic bass and keys, extraordinary volleys of percussion, echo trails, reggae skanks, and truly masterful arrangements and dubbing make this a simply crucial release. Miles beyond most attempts at cross-cultural musical fusion, we guarantee you will be mesmerized by the beauty and power of Dub De Gaita. There is simply nothing else like it.

Co-produced by Grammy nominee Ivis Flies and Grammy winner Ivan Benavides, Rio Mira is a marimba supergroup with Afro-Pacific binational heritage consisting of some of the most in-demand and respected musicians from Colombia and Ecuador. Their music is the sonic rejoining of the region known as El Pacífico Sur, one connected by history, ecology and culture and divided by the national borders of Ecuador and Colombia.

The people throughout this area have similar music, food, speech, fashion, and background, and it is no coincidence that the band takes its name from the Mira River that flows across these borders, connecting rather than dividing people and cultures. This area is home to a great many people of African descent and the rhythms of Africa have become entwined with the lilt and grooves of Colombia and Ecuador. Marimba music has become firmly established, a sound so sacred it was added to UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2015.

Marimba Del Pacifico is a beguiling showcase of this protected sound, a celebration of a unique cultural heritage found nowhere else on the planet, by a band of young musicians keeping this strong tradition alive.

Fulgor is the deepest movement in Barrio Lindo´s discography until today. Produced in the last two years on constantly tour around Europe and South America. 
In his third album, Agustín Rivaldo is strongly inspired by the humanity and the way that people connect through dance and the body in many different ways. 

Barrio Lindo celebrates his third album with special featuring for second time argentinean band Weste and producer Jin Yerei, german producer and composer Andi Otto, ecuatorian band Huaira and sax player Grabiel) 

The musical inspiration cames once again from Southamerica. After his second album “Albura” (2017), Rivaldo works with rhythms from the last century like argentinean Murga, ecuatorian San Juanito, brazilian Chocalho, and centroamerican Reggeaton. The sound of the album has a big presence of metals and springs sparkling in a dark ambient. His use of synthsizers predominate in this nighttime universe that Fulgor cross.

Resulta que el árbol del vecino creció tanto en este último tiempo que una mañana desperté y tenía una gran rama metida en la cocina comedor de mi casa.
Se ve que entró durante la noche, por la ventana que está debajo del extractor de aire.

Ni bien la ví me quedé parpadeando sin entender, y antes de que dijera nada ella se meció, y en un lenguaje sin palabras me recitó una poesía de sus hojas, de las mas amarillas.

Fue tan dulce que me conquistó al instante, entonces la invité a desayunar conmigo y aceptó hamacandose en un sí.  

Inclinándose hacia el té de canela y clavo dijo: “ Solo espera a que se enfríe un poco y echalo de a sorbos sobre la tierra que esconde mis pies.” Y así lo hice.
Nos miramos durante un largo rato, y luego de un gesto de corteza comenzamos a hablar.

Fue una charla en silencio, donde hablamos de la importancia de los días de lluvia, que aunque a nosotros los humanos no siempre nos moja, también nos riega.
Coincidimos en que los rayos del sol en la mañana son los mejores, y de lo especial que es la luz en otoño.

Le conté de qué manera nos afectan las estaciones, y se sorprendió al saber que también nosotros estamos bajo la influencia de la luna y sus ciclos. 

Yo me sorprendí de que estuviese al tanto de la vida de todos los demás árboles y plantas del barrio, y de lo bien que guardan sus secretos. También cuando me habló de la rapidez con la que aceptan el dolor de sus pérdidas, no lo podía creer.

Así pasamos la tarde filosofando como buenos amigos, y al llegar la noche dejó que me hamacase sobre ella hasta quedarme dormido.

A la mañana siguiente la rama no estaba mas allí, y al asomarme por la ventana me entristecí al ver que el vecino había podado el árbol por completo. Entonces desesperado le grité al tronco amputado cómo podía ayudarlo, y ya no respondió mas.
Pero en mi desconsuelo miré hacia abajo y ví la respuesta. 

La rama había dejado de sus semillas por todo el piso de mi cocina comedor.

DJ and producer Åsmund Boye Kverneland aka Copyflex started Copia Doble Systema in Copenhagen, Denmark 2009, heavily taken by the digital cumbia that fused electronic music and local beats of South America. By slowing down techno and adding cumbia loops, we I really felt at home. The first crew was consisting of Copyflex and danish producer Jens Fokking.

We quickly started to produce and do shows in larger and smaller constellations, sometimes as a trio, and maxing it with an orchestra of 11 people! Now we're doing shows all over the world with different collaborators. Our range of venues goes from squats, block parties and glitzy clubs in Cairo to the Royal Library in Copenhagen. Everybody needs the vikingo cumbia! So far Copia Doble Systema has managed to play countless indoor and outdoor events in Denmark, some of the best ones being the Distortion Festival (Copenhagen), Roskilde Festival Camping Area and R.A.W. shows.  We have also been overseas! Magic moments at the Notting Hill Carnival (London), in Hanoi, Caracas, Stavanger, Malmö, Wales and the Faroese Islands.

Copia Doble Systema is now getting support from major players like Diplo (Mad Decent, Major Lazer), Gilles Peterson (BBC), El Hijo De La Cumbia (Bersa Discos), Dj Sinden (Grizzly, Domino, KissFM), Toy Selektah (Mad Decent), Villa Diamante (ZZK) and Schlachthofbronx (Man Recordings, Disco B) amongst others.

We are also very proud to (have) work(ed) with great artists such as Fauna, El Hijo De La Cumbia, Douster, Dj Mouse, Boody B, El Remolon, Dj Hvad, System, Mo Fire, Doma Tornados, dj/Rupture, MAFFI, Uproot Andy, Schlachthofbronx and many more.
