Jade, one of the primary architects of the neurofunk sound, presents the latest release on his distinguished imprint Eatbrain;
Telekinesis – The Nightwalkers EP. Telekinesis - the highly praised Slovenian duo consisting of Smooth and Markoman - joins an already drool-worthy roster of neurofunk talent on Eatbrain, further solidifying the label’s reputation as a stalwart of quality drum and bass. And with names like Concord Dawn and MC Coppa in the equation, the 6th release on Eatbrain stands out as a must-own for any neurofunk head.

Nightwalkers EP kicks off with an dynamic collaboration between Telekinesis and Coppa, the Berlin-based MC who's collaborations with Prolix and Mindscape made enormous waves within the drum and bass scene in 2012. Telekinesis’s knack for atmosphere comes into full effect at the outset before Coppa's infectious rhymes take hold, winding things up into an irresistible drop. Still possessing the same raw ferocity that Telekinesis has become known for, 'Pocket Full Of Drops' takes their sound into playful territory. Combining their dirty signature bass, cleanly constructed drums, and Coppa's clever lyricism, 'Pocket Full of Drops' a true mood-lifter bound to crush any dancefloor it touches. Good vibes, plain and simple.

Next up, New Zealand badboy Concord Dawn features on the EP's eponymous track, 'Nightwalkers.' Opening with an optimistic-sounding concoction of warm pads, a light drum break, and shimmering synth arpeggios, the melody soon takes a darker turn as the full-moon comes out and the dead begin to rise. By the time the tune drops, it's too late - you've already been bitten by Telekinesis and Concord Dawn's monstrous musical creation, and there is no hope for you. One thing is certain; 'Nightwalkers' is a hauntingly contagious track capable of turning an otherwise normal human into a mindless dancing abomination. Beware.

The EP's third track, 'Lich,' promises to slay crowds with its upbeat neurofunk vibes. Clean drums, spirited keys, and a dirty yet carefully polished bassline make this energetic roller a dangerous piece of ammunition. Nightwalkers EP wraps up with a truly fun yet complex exercise in future funk, 'She Wants To Skate'. A tune made purely for the dancefloor, 'She Wants To Skate' jumps right into things with tight, lively drums and an uplifting synth riff. Telekinesis's trademark bass warms itself up, before ripping into full swing at the drop, twisting and turning throughout the track amidst a catchy chopped up vocal. 'She Wants To Skate' is a particularly infectious joint, bound to get bodies moving and put smiles on faces.

Coppa's reputation and hard work has been rightfully recognised, and after years in the game he is fully flying the flag for drum & bass on stages all over the world. The new remix collection adds another dimension, with four new takes on some of the bigger tunes from last year's album. 
Blaine Stranger takes on Coppa & Raise Spirit's Huge Oh No, which features Nihayet. The same storming, ominous sound, the same massive vibes, but a fresh approach, with Blaine bringing the drums front and centre and adding new synth melodies in a remix which the crowds'll love, taking the tune to yet more listeners than before. Watch out for this one, fire in the dance. Coppa and Disphonia provide the wicked Paranoize, which Akov remixes for CMR004. Just when you thought the original couldn't be added to, Akov completely switches things up, dropping the tempo to half time, isolating the vocals and zeroing in on details to boost the very best parts of the track. MC Coppa needs little introduction; he’s been on the neurofunk scene’s forefront since it exploded into the contemporary sounds which now epitomise the subgenre, becoming a resounding voice across its vast back catalogue and pushing its music into every European corner. Alongside the Bulgarian outfit High Roll, who are signed exclusively to Formation Records with DJ SS, they unleash a collaborative EP which is sure to once again pedestal their vast capabilities and extensive background across the musical spectrum.

High Roll are leading members of the H.M.S.U crew in Bulgaria, having spent eighteen years in the game representing the Balkan fields within drum & bass. However this time both High Roll and MC Coppa present a totally different shade to the music they’re renowned for, drawing on Copppa’s Ragga and Reggae roots to enrich their creative horizons.
