What would the dance/club music scene be without Yello? The Swiss avant-garde duo with so many stellar tracks under their belt. We all know songs like The Race, Oh Yeah and Vicious Games. The list can go on forever. Martin Brodin and Copycat decided to make some Nu-Disco edits of their uber cool, and one of their most famous tracks amongst dj’s since the release back in 1981. They treated the original with lots love and gentle hands.

Bostich is the track and it created a stir on both sides of the Atlantic back then. A track like this had never been heard before. People simply went nuts on the dance floor. A true master piece if you ask us.

Yello has always been way ahead of their time and together with Kraftwerk, they’re counted as one of the pioneers of electronic music.

A few years back, I did a cover of your lovely ”She’s the one” for my wife’s birthday. A wonderful timeless classic up there with the very best love songs, if you ask me (and her)—with lyrics so simple yet so pregnant, which truly sum up a longstanding loving, secure and deeply connected relationship and journey of life. 

A very emotional moment, for us both, I assure you. Not least with my vocals really stretching the patience of my audience and challenging the well-laid boundaries of our relationship...

In light of the tragic news of your passing, I won’t disrespect you nor the public at large by posting that very version. Some things just should be kept private; I am sure you agree. Instead, here’s my arrangement/instrumental of it—with your voice on top. 

Thank you for the music, for your talent, and for this song in particular. It will always mean the world to me and us.

Here's "Magyar Disco Tánc" ("Hungarian Disco Dances"), my contribution to AudioPorn Central's "Digital Cuvée" - the remixed version of Analog Cuvée's debut album, combining Hungarian folk music and the latest electronic dance styles, courtesy of AudioPorn All Stars - a wide number of APC's creative friends, djs and producers, including The Young Punx, Phil RetroSpector, +VAT, Flying White Dots, Celebrity Murder Party, Copycat, Dunproofin', Divide & Kreate, Party Ben, and Dj Schmolli.

The original "Analog Cuvée" project was released in 2011 and was initiated by Pozsi and Basic. It blends Analog Cuvée's own modern electronic beats with Hungarian, Transylvanian as well as Moldavian folk music influences. 10 song were recorded with artists like Balogh Kálmán dulcimer artist, Bonkáló Éva folk singer, Krsa, Animal Cannibals, Sub Bass Monster, BeatBox Döme, Salamon Beáta, Magyar Bori or Balkan Fanatik.

Their slow electronic-disco chugger is simply put a beautiful adoption of the original with the hook line working just sublime. Once the song is over you’ll want to play it over and over again.
