Sati (Sanskrit: सती / satī) is derived from the name of the goddess Sati, it is a historical practice. The track utilizes a triplet driven base around a solid bass, fitting in a brooding and dark atmosphere, filled with twisted sounds and a speech describing a daily mental practice.
Maktub contains more melodic contents, a fusion of different influences. Between sampled instrumental elements, arps and synth lines create a colorful balance to drive the listener to a cordial place somewhere in the middle east.
Songbeam is a collaboration with UK midtempo producer Tryptich. It combines melancholic atmospheres and textures with driving beats and bass to create an emotive, yet funky journey.
Rainfall transforms a beautifully sad Hungarian folk song into a seven minute long psychedelic glitch-trip.

Attila started to immerse in the world of sounds in primary school; he played the clarinet for several years and then begun to produce music on his first computer. Cord has released 3 mini-albums and singles and a numerous tracks on compilations. His new EP ‘Suburb Tales’ is a beat-powered psybient journey which originally was made for his brother’s wedding entrance music.

Three tracks, including the Yarn remix, to show us the captivating version of Cord’s reality, which starts with urban psy downtempo and goes to leisured straight kick chillgressive. This exact moment, when in the end you fall to your knees with the hands up and beg for more tracks. We’ll be looking forward to new tunes, and for now, enjoy this groovy EP and chillax!

Years after his last release, spending much time to recreate and improve his creative toolset, Cord is back with a new dose of beats.
His story began in the 2000s with taking part of the breakbeat scene, using his unique sound with granular effects, vocals and bass. Much later his interest was turned towards glitch influenced genres, resulting in an EP in 2005.
Then he decided to improve his music process, to achieve a more colorful sound, resulting in the four tracks of Maktub.

The Cord story started in the early 2000s, with creating atmospheric dnb and releasing breakbeat on Hungary’s legendary Chi Recordings. Later he started to experiment on more psychedelic and experimental genres, then after refining his music creation toolset and process, Maktub EP was born under the courtesy of Merkaba Music in 2020.
Current path is touching the psychedelic genres born from midtempo electronic music, different types of psy-tech spiced with the original Cord vibes: counterpointing motives and rhythmic structures, eastern melodies and interesting sounds.
His music always tries to tell a story with a long, progressing arrangement, spiced up with mind tickling sounds. Bouncing and driving, a great fusion of different influences with strong melodic elements, twisted arps and synth lines.
These are also present when he is on stage: his performance is somewhere between a DJ set and a live act. He uses the tracks very creatively, always resulting in a never-heard-of puzzle.
