Coredata Live @ Dancelovehub 28.12.19

Wander has been a project that saw its inception, with the title track, which I started back in the summer of 2017. Since then, I have been on an epic musical journey, learning more about myself as a producer and composer.

Coredata is an incredibly special project to me. It means everything and has given me great purpose, great joy, and calmness in stressful times.

Anyone who knows me as a musician knows of my deep love for Platipus records. Listening to Art of Trance - Wildlife On One for the first time in my loft was a life changing moment. I hope when people listen to my music, they understand that I'm absorbing that glorious Platipus sound and creating my own voice through its uniqueness, much like 60s/70s bands did with the blues, and house music did with disco.

Why Wander? To roam, to ramble... I hope you listen to this album and let it take your mind, body and spirit to the warm and wonderful alien soundscapes that I took such pleasure in creating. I wanted to create this world of sonic colour that changes at every corner you turn. Deep blues and pulsating reds; glowing greens and sultry purples. Let it wash over you.

It was an absolute pleasure to have Oracle work on a track and a remix for the album. His contributions really make the album complete. My remix of a track of his has been one of my favourite remixes I've ever done.

Retro - Acid - Prog - Psy

The fresh faced Londoner Jonny Royall is on the scene, bringing with him, his own distinctive brand of retro meets future trance. In under a year Royall has already unleashed two exceedingly strong EPs with emphasis on melody and unworldly auras. 

 ‘Shaman EP’ was released back in April 2018 on Israeli favourite Zion604, with the rampant stomper ‘Shaman’ and the wildly expressive ‘GW’. This set the Coredata tone of having a powerful yet flowing 303 bassline as the core of his compositions.

A few months later saw Coredata’s introduction into the wonderful world of JOOF. The welcoming arms opened up a strikingly contrasting side to the heart racing Israeli release, with Royall laying down stunningly beautiful and ethereal soundscapes in ‘iO EP’. 

Intentions have been firmly set by Royall to mark the beginning of an inescapably exciting future for Coredata.
