This track has strong elements from africa and south america giving it that samba/ salsa / stroke Afro-Caribbean feel to it. Wanted to create a track displaying cutural sounds from my upbringing as well as using sounds heard from neighbouring cultures. Giving you that getaway holiday feeling mixed with a more modern futuristic sound which comes in towards the end of the track giving it that twist and change in mood of the song.

A Song From Africa

I stubbled across the knightrider type sample for this track and just played around with the loops until before i knew it i was cooking something real exciting. This track has a lot of different elements to the track which helps build suspense to the track. i used different tools in this track such as fading, where  a particular loops is gradually brought into the track starting from a low level, slowing coming in until the sounds reach the same level as the rest of the sounds in the track. i also used some sound effects in the track incorporating howling wind which added to the track as that part of the track changes with the track starting to build its self up again. i like to bend the rules in life so why can't I do it with my music lol.

Bend The Rules

This track was in my early stages of my beat making which I was just really playing around with the loops and ended up creating this track. i like to look at this track as a progression track as to where my beats were at then compared to how much more structured my tracks sound now. Still proud of the track as it showed from early how i was and still am finding my own sound as well as pushing and challenging the conventional boundaries of set genres hence the title of the track, boundaries.

Boundaries

This was influenced from my older sister listening to all her rnb music in her room as a younger boy with that typical eighties / nineties flow feeling. this would often make me reminisce to a part in my life where I was a some point in time happy with my life. This was also a task to see if I could come across softer in my delivery of a track while still maintaining that hip hop era.

NYC To LDN

Taking you back to them old school methods where you make a gd old fashioned loop and let the lyrists ride the beat some of the best music is formed this way and sometimes off the dome if captured in real time. Had element of American aspects of it using some Brooklyn kits and bass as in my younger days they were the ones that were coming off all the dope rhymes.took me right back to my days when you were young dumb and reckless.

Down in the dirt

With this beat i took my time on the arrangement and construction of the delivery and timing as into when certain chops and changes happen aswell as what instruments are playing alongside each other. At the beginning of the track its got a little 4 bar intro where the tune plays back on itself before coming in with the main chorus to start the tune off. There are jazzy themes and elements of the blues in the this track which catch you at times if you are paying attention. Jazzin With The Blues

I made this track to thinking in my mind i want to make a soulful house tune. When I first starting making beats the tracks that I was initially first making were funky or house tunes. Then I began to learn more as i kept making beats then learned about how to set the tempo of a track which really changed things in my beatmaking skills. Basically as I have been making a lot of rap beats recently I wanted to have a bit of variety in my catalogue of beats so i opted to make a house track this time around. With this beat I used a keyboard to build the main base of the track then incorporated the rest of the track with loops to give the track a more fuller effect. Feel the Vibe

After hearing the down in the dirt original track over again i then began to think i could of done more too the track. Please take the time to listen to the track as i feel i have totally transformed this track from a dark gloomy sound to a much more upbeat faster tempo track. I also sped up the tempo to give it a more jumpy skippy feel so i feel this track will and should get a better response and feedback. Keep following and any comments will be taken on board.

“Disco Chants for Palestine (Beats To Accompany A Protest March)” is exactly as the title implies: protest chants in support of Palestinian liberation set to music.  
     I put this together for two reasons: 
     First, a mate told me how she always finds the “Free Free Palestine” chant playing on Repeat in her head, but unlike a pop song that you can hunt down and then play and rock out to, protest chants aren’t usually stream-able.  It’s not easy to match your inner jukebox to an outer one with a chant.
     The other reason is that frequently at our London protests, folks show up with these awesome, giant Sound Systems on their bicycles… and they may blast really dope beats, but I always find it slightly frustrating that the beats aren’t in sync with the rhythm of the surrounding protesters’ chants… so basically everybody throws each other off rhythmically.  This might be a way to get the crowd in sync! 
     
     This first release of “Disco Chants for Palestine” is the Kris Cirkuit remix! Her beat here was originally part of an as-yet unreleased remix of our “Every Step You Take Is A Migration” single, but I found it the perfect beat to record chants to.
     Also provided is the a cappella version… for sound systems and DJs and producers who wish to make “Disco Chants for Palestine” fit their genre of choice.  I’d like support for the liberation of Palestine to be on every dance floor on the planet… so make it Grimey, or make it Grindcore, make it Bossa Nova or a Barnyard stomp.
