I rewrote 'Black is the Colour' for Bisan Owda, a young reporter form Northern Gaza, whose courage, clarity, compassion and resilience has driven her to record for us the lived experience of herself and her people these past two years...

She is, like so many Palestinians, a living testament to Sumud... the steadfast non-violent resistance to occupation, still holding the keys of her hand parents homes, continuing the nearly 80 year political and cultural effort to return to their ancestral homes, their own lands, across Palestine.

Here are the Lyrics I wrote:
