This piece is conceptually somewhere an instrumental and an installation piece. The original concept was to compose a piece where the performer would never directly intervene in the production of the acoustic sound. The composition sums up a cross between an interest for drone music and the energy of electro music

Music For Bass Drum & Snare Drum and Two Fans

Otanitso is a solo project imagined by Corentin Marillier, developed around the traditional Iranian percussion instrument, the zarb, and an amplified electronic device manipulated in real time.

A musical performance somewhere including several genres from experimental, Otanitso takes the form of a continuous set, exploring the zarb's multiple timbral possibilities, with rhythm, flow and groove at the heart of the composition. This alternates between strict and improvised writing, with electronics inserted as polyrhythm and textural counterpoint.
