Opening track of this album concept i've been messing around with.  I'm not much of a writer, never really have been, but these are more or less my musings when thinking back on my previous job, and not realizing how shit my mental health really was.

The Descent

Commission from @eLTeh.  We played around with a few ideas for a battle theme, which is ultimately what it started out as.  But as we progressed, it ended up turning into more a character/group theme.  All in all, turned out pretty sick.  But I may be biased.

Blood Order

A friend introduced me to I Fight Dragons around 2015/2016, and I immediately fell in love. I was particularly fond of this song, which was cut from their album "Kaboom!", but the only kind of media that really existed of it was a music video showcasing Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds.  I listened to it a ton, but the song got a new breath of fresh air when they released an album of B-Sides called "Side Quest: B-Sides and Rarities".  And that was enough to make me fall in love again.  I also got to hear them play live in 2021 and that was a life-changing experience.

They're a phenomenal band, and I highly recommend looking more into them if you're interested in this sort of thing.

This is my attempt at the song, using chiptune SF2s and re-creating the parts from scratch by ear, as well as playing all the parts myself lol.

Move (Cover)

Idea for this song was based around a warrior returning home after a war; a mixture of regret and sorrow for the acts he had to commit to defend his home, as well as pride and happiness that his home and loved ones are still around.  Though successful in his mission, he wonders what lies in store next.

Composed within Cakewalk by Bandlab, using a combination of the BBC Discovery Orchestra VST, as well as the SGM v.2.01 SF2.

Homecoming

Wanted to take a crack at composing my own Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal battle theme, in a similar style to Go Ichinose.  I think it turned out pretty well.  I say it's for a Trainer, but in reality, it could really be used for any kind of encounter.

This is the same style as 8-bit compositions of the time, only three noise channels going at one time.

That's really all I have to say on it, enjoy lol

Original Trainer Battle Theme (Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal)

Started off as just messing around with an Orchestral VST that I've used before, and ended up stringing together some ideas that sounded kinda neat. I originally got Halo vibes from it, another friend of mine draws comparison to Call of Duty 2 (which I have not played).

General idea was to be a character theme of some sort.  Whether that's some sort of heroic dude, war veteran, whatever.  

Or a theme when something epic happens, idk.  I'm not a game designer, i just make doot doots on the internet.
