The Wharf EP (2015) is a collaborative progressive folk project between Rose and autoharpist Leah Dolgoy and a follow up to their first EP, B-Sides (2013). Rose and Dolgoy were first united after the passing of a mutual friend in 2010 and have been musically inseparable ever since, playing over 200 shows together across Canada and the US. Each with their own unique style on the banjo and autoharp, The Wharf showcases the beauty of the interplay between the two instruments. 

The EP features five original tracks written by Rose and arranged by Rose and Dolgoy. The tracks range from the sarcastic and quirky chamber-folk song “Broken Telephone”, to the title track “The Wharf”, that sends sweet strings down the Bay of Fundy with a gentle nod to Nick Drake. The EP also includes the Mississippi John Hurt inspired blues track “Don’t Fall In Love”, a haunting cover of Hank WIlliams' "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" as well as Rose’s first politically minded song, “Wolf” that urges the listener to believe the word of survivors of abuse and sexual violence. “Wolf” also features lyrical contributions from Dolgoy. The Wharf features guest appearances by friends Cécile Doo-Kingué (Electric Guitar, 2), Sam Gleason (Electric Guitar, 4), Ari Swan (Violin, 1,6) and Quinn Brander (Cello, 1,6).

Corey Gulkin revels in the peculiar and makes it feel like home. They have dabbled in as many careers as they have genres, composing a sneaky opus of songs over the past decade. They are currently working on an eccentric lounge rock record, laden with wild guitar solos, psychedelic lyrics, and a palpable sense of humour.
