There used to exist a world preceding modern technology where humans devoted much of their time to what is now the beautiful lonely- nature. As we all know, the invention of the smartphone and social media has drastically changed not only human behavior, but our relationship with the outside world over the course of the past nearly 20 years. That is a huge chunk of our lives, and I feel as though many of us seek peace and silence from all the digital noise. 

Despite being removed from social media for a year now, I still feel that my consumption with modern technology is time wasted interacting with things I, at the core of my being, shouldn't truly care about.

This piece is for Mother Nature. She's waiting for us.
