This classic Small Faces song was the first dance at our wedding- performed live that night by my fellow Pills. As a gift for the guests, we printed 100 white vinyl singles of my cover which I recorded on my TEAC 1/4" reel to reel in the galley kitchen of our basement apartment in Inman Square.

Little Crumbles

The stereo strings track to my 2008 Elefant Records single "Badfinger Bridge". The REST of it was recorded at Abbey Road, I think the strings were tracked in someone's apartment,  but they sound great. It was a cheap freelance string arranger I found online and my only guidance  was  2 violas instead of doubling the violin and  "ELO cellos".

Boston- based songwriter Corin Ashley is the bass player and lead singer for longtime mod pop favorites The Pills (www.pillsrock.com) who garnered tons of press, airplay and notice for their hyper amphetamine pop sound, sharing stages in the U.S., Canada and Europe with the Libertines, Supergrass, B-52s, Juliana Hatfield, Sloan, The Smithereens, Jimmy Cliff and  a slew of others. 
Now recording at home on an old 8 track reel to reel, Corin has been focused on a slightly more introspective acoustic- based sound; less slashing Rickenbackers and more Gibson acoustic. Opening slots for the likes of Robyn Hitchock, Ron Sexsmith and Ian Hunter, and with a recent sojourn to London's Abbey Road Studios under his belt, and a batch of new songs in progress, Corin is working towards his next album with great optimism.
