I heard this song covered by a bunch of folkies at the Edge of the World Festival this past weekend and then on CBC today. I freakin love this song! Gona buy the album for sure :)

This song is by a songwriter living in Guelph, Ontario, who doesn't play out anymore, but whose songs I believe in so much that I made a vow, when I started making Corin Raymond albums, that I'd include a Doug Norquay song on every album I made. So far I'm three for three, and this is the Norquay song on my live album Paper Nickels. Paper Nickels is a double album, recorded live, the packaging of which includes a 144-page full-colour book which tells the stories of where I found these songs and who the writers are.
