For the 2nd episode of Corpo Tapes, we have invited B1980, an alias for renowned Belgian producer and musician Bert Libeert.

With his live EBM/techno project, B1980 brings the raw emotions and spontaneity of live electronic music, armed with just two synthesizers and two drum machines.

His signature sound breathes organic and atmospheric recordings combined with an attitude and rawness of EBM-style techno. Influenced by ‘New Beat’ and Belgian bands like Front 242, his mission is to continue the Belgian Sound, but in his own unique way.

Corpo Tapes #3 | Tending Tropic Collective

Hailing from Paris with Bulgarian roots, @Karassimeon is obsessed with Disco and EBM, hence his motto “Glitter & Leather”. 

He has released a string of tracks on Toulouse based label Ritmo Fatale in 2023, delivering his distinctive blend of Cold Wave, EBM and Italo. Beyond the initial support he was granted by Kendal and Pablo Bozzi, his productions are gathering growing support in the scene by the likes of Marie Davidson, David Carretta, Avalon Emerson, The Magician, Curses and Jennifer Cardini.

Already heard on radio stations like Rinse FM and KEXP, his music has also graced the stage of venues such as Badaboum and Petit Bain in Paris, Macadam in Nantes or the Grauzone Festival in The Hague. 

His encounter with Ombra International found its perfect embodiment in his new single STSFXN, a fervent tribute to his initial passions within the EBM genre, such as Nitzer Ebb and Front 242.

Relentlessly researching new soundscapes in his studio, Karassimeon is already delivering his new live electronic show on tour in 2024, with releases scheduled on favorite labels such as Ritmo Fatale and Bordello A Parigi.

Istanbul based DJ/producer Günce Aci has been weaving between the genres, joining hypnotic dots in the darkest shadows of indie-dance, acid, left field techno and electronica. Her hypnotic pads, heavy bass-lines and enchanting melodies meet under the roof of her signature sound.

Since 2014, she has been spinning in the most highlighted clubs & festivals and became one of the most prominent members of Istanbul’s underground electronic scene. After her releases on prominent labels, she started to play internationally and already has performed at Sisyphos, Le Sucre, Silbergold, Kegrad, Romantica, Freedonia and many more. 

Till this date, Günce has been releasing EP’s, tracks and remixes on various labels, among them Ombra INTL, Dischi Autunno, Darkroom Dubs, Critical Monday.

The dual-faceted DJ and producer Mystery kid pushes the BPM's of dark disco, navigating between rock-tinged EBM and percussive kick breaks. 

She released her first track on the Nubians Of Plutonia Records (IT) label, signed an EP on Pacotyson Records (FR) and a track on Femnoise Records (ESP), always faithful to her underground dark disco vibe. In 2024, she became a resident of Rinse FM
