Croatian producer Squarewave pilots the 20th release from Correspondant with Disco Inferno: a retro-futuristic spin on deep and dirty house. Due out October 7, his debut EP for the label lifts off with “Dance Central”, a neo-disco aeronautic featuring frenetic synths and dubby, warped basslines. Plumbing darker atmospheric depths, the EP’s title track is a driving, bass-heavy slow burn doused with spaced-out reverb, while “Drummer” swathes a clean, kicking four-four in distorted, subaqueous sound effects.
Pulp Disco & The Outcasts follow up with two high-octane, 80s-inspired remixes of “Disco Inferno”. Nodding to vintage synths and the Roland Juno-106, “Love Comes Quickly” is a pulsing, persistent future- stepper steeped in subtle psychosis and the Manchester collaborative’s signature psychedelics. Their second remix revs up with a similarly seductive and sinister velocity, dipping into the deep grooves of outerworld funk.
Madrid-based producer Javi Redondo, whose Automotion EP dropped via Correspondant earlier this year, wraps up the label’s newest release with his remix of “Dance Central”. Acid-laced rhythmic schisms create cerebral friction and trail out as jet stream, but his cinematic sci-fi score still hits hard at the level of the dancefloor.

Correspondant presents “Give Me Love” by Zombies in Miami. No strangers to the label, the duo is back with a tasty two-tracker, after "Be Free" in 2023. Hailing from Mexico, this power couple has crafted a serious ability to tear up the dancefloor, and this one is definitely no exception. “Give Me Love” has it all: it’s sexy, trancey, housey. And frankly addictive. Packed with hypnotic synth-driven melodies, thunderous basslines, and cheeky, sultry moans, this EP offers a masterclass in club alchemy from the pair. To add to the magic, both cuts are skillfully reworked by remixers Bella and Bliss Inc.. Infused with a real old-school club flavour, “Give Me Love” gives you all you need, but leaves you wanting even more.

Following the hypnotic pulse of his acclaimed album El Hijo del Maiz, released through Lumière Noire Records, which introduced the original version of "Bo Ni Ke," Mexican DJ/producer Iñigo Vontier returns with Bo Ni Ke Remixes, an EP that reimagines one of his most captivating tracks. Released through the boundary-pushing Mexican imprint Duro Label, this collection breathes new life into "Bo Ni Ke" with four dynamic reinterpretations from Musumeci, Moisees and two new version from Vontier.  

Leading the charge is a mesmerizing remix by Italian Musumeci, who infuse the track with their signature blend of deep, cosmic grooves and ethereal textures, taking "Bo Ni Ke" on an acid journey. Moisees, co-founder of Duro Label, delivers a remix that amplifies the track's hypnotic essence, layering infectious rhythms with a raw, underground energy that resonates on dancefloors. Rounding out the EP, Iñigo Vontier himself presents his "Unwanted" Remix, showcasing his evolving sound with a darker, more psychedelic twist that delves deeper into his experimental roots. 

Closing the EP is the Ketamine Version, a stripped-down, hallucinatory rendition that deconstructs the original into its most primal sonic elements. This version explores the track's core rhythmic structure, distorting and reshaping it into a swirling, immersive soundscape, designed for late-night introspection and altered states of consciousness. 

Bo Ni Ke Remixes stands as a testament to Iñigo Vontier's fearless approach to electronic music, blending cultural influences with forward-thinking production. Each remix offers a unique perspective while honoring the original's mystique, solidifying "Bo Ni Ke" as a track that transcends boundaries and continues to evolve. After crossing the Galaxy and leaving the orbiting colony of Sinewave IX behind, the ship’s crew receives a cryptic transmission. A single signal, repeated endlessly: a grainy image of a cosmic face adorned with an enormous white mustache.

Interstellar databases do not register any such entity, but the elders of the Sound Academy speak of the White Mustache: an ancient vibrational intelligence, born from the collision of two pulsars and fueled by grooves forgotten in time.

Feines Tier veteran Johannes Klingebiel introduces Franz Matthews to the family and together they bring us “Ce Moment” EP, a basket of tunes full of colorful harmonies, bouncy grooves and poetic French lyrics. What more could one wish for? The two producers and multi-instrumentalists met some years ago in their chosen hometown Berlin and decided to fuse their producing and multi-instrumentalism game.
The first fruit of this labor was the much-loved and -played “Signs” on Heimlich records, now being followed by this EP here. The title tune is an amalgamation of groovy electric bass riLs, spicy Prophet synth sounds, melancholic vocals and certainly has something of that magic ingredient people call the French Touch. A good tune to pick for House DJs who dig some Disco now and then and for Disco DJs in need of some solid House. “La Traversée” is a crossing (multi-language pun intended) of bazillions of quirky synth sounds and melodies that somehow form a coherent whole, the sum of its part being a light and friendly but not cheesy house tune, that will make the sun go up on any dancefloor. The mighty Kompakt overlord Michael Mayer takes “Ce Moment” under his spell. The result is a grander and more mysterious aLair, made for bigger and darker dancefloors.

The Sound of Cologne™ this is indeed! Parisian up-and-comer Shimon adapts „La Traversée” into his sonic world. When Matthews and Shimon discussed the finished remix on the phone in French, all that le dilletant Johannes could understand from it were the words “très cool” and “after-hour vibe” , which… yes, completely tracks!
