After an LP by Red Axes and an EP by Bot’Ox earlier this year, I’m A Cliché is back in the saddle with a new look and a new feel while keeping the same great sound. Two EPs including this one are going to be released on both digital and vinyl formats this Fall, leading up to very special 10th anniversary celebrations in Paris towards the end of the year.

DARK HORSE
A robust drum groove, a syncopated bass line, a galloping cowbell and treated drum fills mingle with hypnotic arpeggios and dramatic pads to create an ominous feeling. Opening the EP with melody and style, MOSCOMAN reminds us here of his dark horse quality: he might be a mysterious outsider but boy does he have the skills to get dancefloors moving.

REROTICA
A mesmerising bass sequence with a no-frills beat. Somewhere in between disco and EBM, it’s already a sensual affair with the music alone but MOSCOMAN’s libidinous vocals give an unmistakably erotic feel to the track. Clocking at 106 BPM, this slow burner is the perfect tune to initiate body to body dancing and to make sweat drip from the walls.

EGO TRIPPIN
A slapped bass and a funky drum beat are at the core of this track. Adding layer upon layer of eerie synths, creepy vocals, subtle drums lo-fi effects, this track is both groovy and psychedelic. There’s a hint of electro-funk nostalgia and a dash of gothic post-punk which gives EGO TRIPPIN that je-ne-sais-quoi required to take dancefloors to the next level.

EGO TRIPPIN’ (THE TWINS REMIX)
Upon hearing this EP, mysterious producer THE TWINS specifically asked to remix EGO TRIPPIN. They deliver an outstanding remix tailored for club use with an elegant, full-bodied groove where the track’s nostalgic feel is underlined by lush vocals and hypnotic synth lines. When the track dramatically breaks down and that slapped bassline makes an appearance, things get stunningly evocative and the buildup leading back to the beat has rarely been so ecstatic.

And another premiere to warm up your week-end parties ! Coming hot on the heels of Khidja’s rumanian duo return to UK's "Emotional Especial" with their "Never Seen The Dunes EP", is a set of remixes by friends and family of the label and band, featuring no less than Discodromo, Inflagranti, Red Axes and Selvy on mixing desk duties. Things head darker on this one with Tel Aviv’s rising stars Red Axes, maning the controls for the scatter bounce of Indecis for the stand out remix.  Twisted vocals, brooding FX and reversed guitar all atop a mesmeric kick, things just keeps going higher and higher. Hot & out within the two following weeks lads !

We supported their very cool first release by "Jack Pattern" through our infamous Youtube channel and now comes in a few weeks the second one by Lipsky brother's Simple Symmetry . We do really like their unique fresh blend and premiered not so long ago their track Kalimba on "Cosmic Pint Glass". But to change a bit the game, here is the Marvin & Guy's Afterhour Mix, a long 10 mn epic cut you'd already wish to hear at 6am. in a summer beach festival on those "hands in the air" euphoric moments ! Shining crown jewels in Tel Aviv's underground scene, Red Axes' artistic endeavours have slowly but surely been revitalising Israeli music culture. Their output's calibre sets the bar inexorably high — epitomised by the stripped-back disco bomb “Waiting for a Surprise” which stirred up a ruckus this exact time last year. So much so that techno don Audion was compelled to lay his grace on the dub. Spurred on by a bouncy bass line, swirling electronics and agile percussive workouts darting all over the joint, Audion’s production lab mastery is heard crystal clear throughout.

Forthcoming on Waiting For A Remix (which includes reworks by Moscoman, Manfredas and Thomas Von Party) this bag of goodies drops through @multiculti digitally on October 3rd, followed up by wax on October 27th.

Rolling Stones - She's a Rainbow (Red Axes Edit)

The latest addition of Roam Recordings offers three stunning remixes of Berlin based 80s New Wave inspired band Pardon Moi. Following the success of their singles “Addiction” on Emerald & Doreen Recordings and “Inside the Outside” on Nein (which has been featured on BBC Radio) the Berlin duo Pardon Moi consisting of Thomas Freudenthal and James Brook have penned the evocative “Power to the People” along with “Touch2Much” which have been released in original form on 7” vinyl from Hoga Nord Rekords. In the “Power to the People Remixes” EP, Roam Recordings has gathered together a dream team of top remixers - Damon Jee, Markus Gibb, and Curses - who each put their own spin on the originals. Damon Jee starts it out with an an energetic and anthemic version of Power to the People that’s sure to get people on their feet. Markus Gibb moves Power to the People into slightly darker and heavier territory with exquisite production that has become his trademark. Switching gears, Curses takes on Touch2Much and keeps the 80s vibe alive with a stylish upbeat dub that’s both quirky and fun.

The Second track on the REPVII EP is Curses remixed by Milanos hot newcomer duo Younger Than Me. Both artists contributed tracks to RELISH COMP V.
Curses is the dark Italo and New Wave inspired project by New Yorker Luca Venezia. His track Her Violence Beauty got the trademark style treatment by the duo, which is a crossover between post-disco ,new-wave, house and electronic music with the inevitable 80's twist.

Exclusive Time To Sleep - Lungo Mare

Named after one of Croatia's most beautiful coastal prominades Pula-based artist Time To Sleep makes his Disco Halal Singles Club debut with Lungo Mare. The take captures some of the artist's musical influences and comes with a rather funky almost rock-ish bass line, which is enriched with a bleeping lead synth that in the course of the track is groomed with a glitch adding even more raw- and edginess to it. It's those little details that Time To Sleep prepared Lungo Mare with that keeps the listener hooked to the track and making it sound intriguing. But in all the aforementioned roughness Time To Sleep's approach has beauty shining through and possibly describing the twelve kilometer lasting path Lungo Mare, when having overcome as well as to take on some burden before rewarded with beautiful sundowners and views over Adriatic Sea.
