After an LP by Red Axes and an EP by Bot’Ox earlier this year, I’m A Cliché is back in the saddle with a new look and a new feel while keeping the same great sound. Two EPs including this one are going to be released on both digital and vinyl formats this Fall, leading up to very special 10th anniversary celebrations in Paris towards the end of the year.

DARK HORSE
A robust drum groove, a syncopated bass line, a galloping cowbell and treated drum fills mingle with hypnotic arpeggios and dramatic pads to create an ominous feeling. Opening the EP with melody and style, MOSCOMAN reminds us here of his dark horse quality: he might be a mysterious outsider but boy does he have the skills to get dancefloors moving.

REROTICA
A mesmerising bass sequence with a no-frills beat. Somewhere in between disco and EBM, it’s already a sensual affair with the music alone but MOSCOMAN’s libidinous vocals give an unmistakably erotic feel to the track. Clocking at 106 BPM, this slow burner is the perfect tune to initiate body to body dancing and to make sweat drip from the walls.

EGO TRIPPIN
A slapped bass and a funky drum beat are at the core of this track. Adding layer upon layer of eerie synths, creepy vocals, subtle drums lo-fi effects, this track is both groovy and psychedelic. There’s a hint of electro-funk nostalgia and a dash of gothic post-punk which gives EGO TRIPPIN that je-ne-sais-quoi required to take dancefloors to the next level.

EGO TRIPPIN’ (THE TWINS REMIX)
Upon hearing this EP, mysterious producer THE TWINS specifically asked to remix EGO TRIPPIN. They deliver an outstanding remix tailored for club use with an elegant, full-bodied groove where the track’s nostalgic feel is underlined by lush vocals and hypnotic synth lines. When the track dramatically breaks down and that slapped bassline makes an appearance, things get stunningly evocative and the buildup leading back to the beat has rarely been so ecstatic.

London-based DJ duo, producers, and curators Earthly Measures announce their debut EP, ‘FROM EARTH’, landing August 8 via Oath. The six-track release is a vibrant statement of intent: a celebration of rhythm, collaboration, and borderless sound.

Leading the EP is the electrifying first single ‘QUE?’, featuring Colombian artist OKRAA. It’s a kinetic fusion of Afro-Latin percussion, live textures, and UK breakbeat energy, anchored by a looping Fela Kuti sample that pulses like a heartbeat through the track. A psychedelic, bass-heavy trip built for movement.

Across ‘FROM EARTH’, Earthly Measures chart a path through deep grooves, organic instrumentation, and global club culture. Each track is shaped by cross-continental collaboration:

‘THIRD TRY’, created with Chile’s DJ Raff, is a hypnotic, slow-burning roller that blends warped synths, sub-heavy basslines, and Latin rhythmic sensibilities with mystical restraint.

“EARTH GROOVE”, made with Argentinian producer Balam, hums with ancestral echoes and future-facing energy: a ritualistic low-end meditation finally emerging from their archives.

The EP also includes three powerful remixes that reimagine the originals through fresh lenses:

Berlin-based Olsvangèr brings a dubbed-out, textural warmth to ‘QUE?’ with his Wildwood Dub.

Sun Sone’s remix of ‘THIRD TRY’ leans into bright percussion and open-air energy.

Jinje closes the journey with a kaleidoscopic, peak-time rework of ‘EARTH GROOVE’, lifting it into euphoric new terrain.

As longtime champions of globally inspired dance music, Earthly Measures have spent years cultivating a platform where sounds from across the planet collide — whether through their label, DJ sets, or live showcases. Now, with ‘FROM EARTH’, they step into the spotlight as artists, weaving together the rhythms and textures they’ve championed into a cohesive, forward-facing release.

In an electronic music landscape often dominated by fleeting trends, the pursuit of genuine "Understanding" is a commendable ambition, and it’s this very concept that Stuttgart’s Jakob Mäder (SXDNS418) explores with impressive depth on his latest EP for Munich’s Dance Petrol Records. Mäder is no stranger to aficionados of the German house scene, having previously delivered compelling works for a roster of acclaimed imprints including theBasement Discos, Miura, Frank Music, Zissou, Constant Change, and TOYS Berlin, just to name a few. This history reveals a producer with a refreshingly versatile palette, refusing to be pinned to a single subgenre. The "Understanding" EP continues this journey, presenting two original tracks that feel both introspective and rhythmically engaging. They build a nuanced, atmospheric world that invites listeners to move their feet while simultaneously engaging their minds, a balancing act that Mäder performs with a veteran’s ease.

The release’s brilliant second act comes from Hannover’s rising talent, Luise, who takes the track "Strings" on a captivating detour. Her remix is a masterclass in transformation, leaving the Deep House origins behind for the textured, kinetic realm of Breakbeat. The foundation of her version is a bassline of pure magnetism, a robust and propulsive force that commands immediate attention. Around this powerful core, Luise artfully arranges the original's components: subtle vocal hooks become ethereal echoes, and warm synth pads expand into vast, atmospheric layers that ripple across the rugged rhythm. This reinterpretation complements the A-side perfectly, offering a different yet equally valid perspective on the source material. It provides a dynamic, club-ready energy that showcases Luise’s distinct creative voice and production skill, making the entire "Understanding" EP a compelling showcase of contemporary German electronic music from two distinct, yet equally talented, artistic viewpoints.

For our 14th release we are honored to have on board @roman-fluegel , a master and real pioneer of the scene. The track he chose to edit dates back to the fabulous ‘80s, and the idea was born when our hero closed a four-hour set with the original, leaving everyone speechless, including us. “Ooh to be ah” by Kajagoogoo is a critic to frivolity, a game and a challenge at the same time. And this reinterpretation, thanks to our artist’s trademark electronic sounds, will captivate you from the first listen.

Coming hot on the heels of Khidja’s rumanian duo return to UK's "Emotional Especial" with their "Never Seen The Dunes EP", is a set of remixes by friends and family of the label and band, featuring no less than Discodromo, Inflagranti, Red Axes and Selvy on mixing desk duties. Things head darker on this one with Tel Aviv’s rising stars Red Axes, maning the controls for the scatter bounce of Indecis for the stand out remix. Shining crown jewels in Tel Aviv's underground scene, Red Axes' artistic endeavours have slowly but surely been revitalising Israeli music culture. Their output's calibre sets the bar inexorably high — epitomised by the stripped-back disco bomb “Waiting for a Surprise” which stirred up a ruckus this exact time last year. So much so that techno don Audion was compelled to lay his grace on the dub. Spurred on by a bouncy bass line, swirling electronics and agile percussive workouts darting all over the joint, Audion’s production lab mastery is heard crystal clear throughout.
