Fresh on DISCHI is Maruwa and Younger than Me’s Prometeo. Both based in Germany, respectively in Frankfurt and Berlin, the two exciting DJs and producers join their creative forces on this short but mighty three-tracker. Lovers of prog-house, trance and 90s sounds, Maruwa and Younger Than Me deploy their vast array of influences with this dancefloor-oriented project.
Prometeo is a classic ravey, prog-house tune, masterfully layering element after element to keep you wondering what’s coming next. So Cool kicks it up a notch, bringing in hard-hitting kicks, a bouncy bassline, and a magnetic voice sample. On Return of the Reptilian, the producers take the listeners to more technoid realms, working entrancing repetitive loops that immediately get you in the zone, and on your feet. Two powerhouses add their distinctive sound to the remixes. Australian DJ and label head Mabel twists Prometeo with her signature sassy bass sound, adding a new sultry, almost hypnotic dimension to the track. Finishing of the project is  DJ Babatr, king of Raptor House and legend of the Venezuelan scene who injects his mastery into So Cool, with a fierce, trance-inducing rework.

Correspondant is happy to present Schiela’s Kaskade. Inspired by a myriad of house music flavors, all colored by the euphoric quality of 90s dance music, the Berlin-based DJ and producer has made a name for himself for his energetic presence on the club scene. Kaskade showcases his taste for high energy tunes, and his dedication to get dancefloors moving. The title track is heavily inspired by old-school club sounds, with a main lead synth and piano singing out  in unison : “Full speed ahead!”. Nachtraum is a more introspective track, sounding darker than the producer’s usual cheerful gems. Building a musical trip through the layering of synths and four-to-the-floor kicks, Nachtraum is the perfect soundtrack to a cinematic dancefloor journey. The two tracks come with a fresh remix combo by the Estonian duo Abdul Raeva and the Berlin-based DJ Alinka.

Hailing from Mexico, this power couple has crafted a serious ability to tear up the dancefloor, and this one is definitely no exception. “Give Me Love” has it all: it’s sexy, trancey, housey. And frankly addictive. Packed with hypnotic synth-driven melodies, thunderous basslines, and cheeky, sultry moans, this EP offers a masterclass in club alchemy from the pair.
