Fruitless Loops is Tony Tyson's first ever full length album. Its ten tracks take the listener on a journey through all corners of Tyson's musical imagination.
As can be expected of Tyson, the album delivers several big, club ready techno cuts such as the ominous 'Ringu' and the intense 'Kernel Panic' whilst 'Disconnect' and 'Bazille' wander deep into acid territory. 'Now Defunct' sports an energetic mix of polyrhythmic beats and manic noises.
'To The Surface' on the other hand has a more melodic, introspective flavour. 'Good Mourning', a tribute to Tyson's deceased brother, further explores melancholic vibes. These two tracks form the bridge to a trio of downtempo, ambient inspired tracks; 'Geiger' which evokes visions of a post apocalyptic wasteland, 'Insomnia' which harks back to 70's and 80's electronica and mysterious closing track 'Arrival'.

Following the success of his diverse debut album Fruitless Loops, Tony Tyson is back with Fallout; an uncompromising two tracker that refuses to stray from the straight and narrow techno path.
The title track is a furious acid workout with an industrial sounding kick drum, earth shaking sub bass and scorching 303 squelches.
The second track is by no means a B-side: a remix of Tyson's track Critical Mass by none other than Israel Toledo. His 'repaint' with its pulsating rhythm and carefully crafted tapestry of hectic sounds is an impressive re-imagination of Tyson's original.

Cortex Recordings is an independent Techno label headed by Dutch producer/DJ Tony Tyson. 
The label is an outlet for Tyson's own productions as well as material from like-minded artists; the first of which is the very talented DJ/producer Delphunk from Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
The Cortex Recordings sound is all about dark, minimalistic, synth driven Techno with acidic, melodic and dub influences. Among the releases there will also be more experimental productions, although always firmly rooted in the Techno ethos.
The name Cortex Recordings was inspired by notion the of being able to express musical ideas directly from their point of origin; from human imagination. The label is dedicated to making the best of these ideas available to the public.
