Local Underground RDG is pleased to share this mix from techno-philosopher Hypatia. Recorded live from Savage Sirens Productions Easton House Party in March of 2024, the set features 12 blistering tracks from Hypatia's deep crate. Pembroke provides the bones, offering six combined tracks from Karia Records and the Pembroke imprint, while the mix is fleshed out with classic tracks from Hypatia's progressive roots.

Precisely mixing deep grooves and dark percussion, Hypatia invites you inside for an intimate look at the sacred spaces that inspire her signature sound.  As to be expected from Hypatia, the resulting mix offers a seamless blend of progressive dance music in historical perspective.

The true spirit of the original global underground series was to paint a retrospective picture of a destination’s dance music culture. In this sense, Hypatia captures the essence of Easton’s small but thriving party scene. There is hardly a more welcoming small town in Pennsylvania for a DJ to grace than Easton. With a such diverse crowd, the eagerness to dance is their common bond. Hypatia uses this vibrant pallet to paint a portrait of Easton’s dancefloor culture with a recreation of her legendary closing set for the Easton House Party from March, 23 2024.

This was ground zero for the debut of her groundbreaking harmonic progressive house EP, “Pembroke - Wishing Star” which was released May 17, 2024. The theme for the rave was centered around 90s house music. Hypatia’s masterful selection included some of the titanic tracks that closed out the nineties, just as she closed the party. With the fringes and tassels of progressive house’s halcyon days, she wove in her new vision for the future of prog and the rise of Pembroke.

Originally from Reading, PA, Peter has spent time in Brooklyn, Boston, and Los Angeles honing his signature sound. Deep, layered, textured, and wide open, with plenty of space between the notes for the music to breathe.
