The good is - after a prolonged ‘COVID times’ induced hibernation period - we’re back! And to welcome us back Kibosh has kindly emptied his robot studio of all the odds and ends that he's been keeping 'somewhere safe’, to serve up this rip thumping summer funk-stroller ‘Struck’ - which is yours for free! Mood Swing & Chevy Bass X Cheshire have served up ‘No One Above’, a deep and brooding glitch-hop number that’s riddled with original instrumentation, growling basslines, stuttered vocals, and a sound-scape that’s so sci-fi that when it came to remix duties there was only one name we could think of. Unfortunately, they weren’t available, so we gave our pal WBBL a call - who flipped it into an infectious bass house belter - perfecto!

Wrapping up the release, Swim Inc joins the Mood Swing & Chevy Bass collab party with ‘Higher’. A bass-heavy glitch funk groover, built around a sample that’s just on the tip of your tongue but also never quite there, making it instantly recognisable and completely original at the same time - a rare combo indeed.

The Aussie duo, Staunch, has returned full of funk with a massive album to get deep into the middle of a glitch hop movement, threading the needle with plenty of bass and grit. Their album is called "Dissecting the Groove," an experience full of intense jams and futuristic sounds to complement their reputation for outstanding music - using heavy wobbles that weave in and out of a track like a missile-seeking animal.

"Fight Milk" starts things off with soul and retro funk from another dimension. Reaching into the depths with an epic guitar solo, this tune has plenty of spice and melty transitions to satisfy any fan. "Racist Monday" has plenty of impressive crashes and interesting breaks, using the most clever and simple sounds to embark on a truly fantastic ride into glitchy-ness. "Grind Stone" is a hip-hop anthem style, middle-finger to the haters. "Shit Stiffy" gears up for more galactic melting, while "Trimmsy" takes things into a downtempo, dark abyss of fresh electro and funk. With help from Kash and Beat Fatigue, things get really interesting with two magnificent tracks called "Alpha Mode" and "Low Down."
Things calm down into a magnificent state of unconscious glitch with the final two tracks, "Night Bus" and "Switch Foot." Grab this album now!!
