The guest mix in the second hour is by Ant Wilson aka Chicago Loop. He started in early 90’s London at rave and warehouse parties and ran his own record label from the Kinetec studio and record shop in London. In 2013 his Chicago Loop alias was born to focus on upfront, modern techno. Releases on labels such as Phobiq, Respekt, Toolroom, and many others followed. He is in constant demand on the international touring circuit and his DJ sets deliver fresh, no-nonsense techno to the dance floor.

Lisa May is an Indigenous Australian Techno DJ and producer known for the dark and heavy sounds of her production. Her deep and driving live sets have earned her the attention and support of renowned techno artists from around the globe.

 For over a decade, Lisa has filled dance floors as a DJ, showing a dynamic and energetic connection with the crowd that has gained her a loyal following. In her flawless and crowd engaging digital DJ sets today, it is clear that her origin and mastery of playing on vinyl has fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation of music. On the production front Lisa has been dedicated to finessing her sound. 

Lisa recently signed a 3 track EP to Victor Ruiz’s Volta Records with a second EP in the works. Lisa’s Techno productions consistently make the Beatport top 100Techno charts, gaining her recognition and mentorship from her peers, and has seen her music played on the iconic Drumcode Radio live. ANNA and Wehbba recently selected and played her track ‘Want You’ as part of their top 25 tracks for an online producer competition. Some of the artists supporting Lisa's tracks include Riva Starr, Joseph Capriati, Thomas Schumacher, Alex Stein, Eddie Halliwell, Sisko Electrofanatic, UMEK, ASYS and Luigi Madonna.

 In 2021, Lisa had three tracks on Australian labels each making the Techno Top 100 on Beatport and the Australian Aria charts. 2022 has shaped up to be a huge year for Lisa, she recently joined the team at Melbourne’s iconic techno agency Eat The Beat and has some massive shows on the horizon. Originally from the small town of Nabiac and now residing in Melbourne Lisa’s love of techno is well cultivated from her home studio.

Atroxx is making his return to Respekt following releases on other respected techno record labels such as AnalyticTrail, Kraftek, Tronic, Unrilis, Odd Recordings and Octopus.

Based in Canada, Atroxx is known for his electrifying style which blends mind-bending basslines with pounding percussion and intense atmosphere. Along with his many solo productions, he has also collaborated with people ranging from Markantonio to Brennen Grey and this is his second release on Respekt.

"Burning Whispers" is an electro-tinged track that opens the release with high-paced hi-hats and a ferocious bassline, which driven by a thumping kick drum, forms a foundation for the trippy vocals. "Break the Mold" is a dark and percussive track with eerie synths and brutal percussion that's overlaid with muffled vocals and a dystopian lead synth.

Markantonio reunites with Drumsauw as the pair unveils their five-track ‘Fusion’ EP on AnalyticTrail.

A longstanding name at the heart of the Neapolitan scene before his impressive emergence and career on the international circuit, Italian favorite Markantonio has been an artist leading the forefront of the techno scene for over two decades now. And yet, whether as an artist, a DJ, or a label boss, he continues to impress as an artist evolving and shaping the sound of the genre’s future. 

After recently linking up with one another on Carlo Lio and Kareem Cali’s label On Edge Society in late 2022, he reunites with up-and-coming British techno figure Drumsauw for five more dynamic and impactful techno efforts as they return to Markantonio’s renowned AnalyticTrail imprint for their ‘Fusion’ EP.

Opening the package with authority, lead track ‘Emotions’ is a punchy and warping lead effort built for big moments, while ‘Slave’ keeps the energy high with snarling acid-flecked leads, eerie stabs, and shimmering metallic hats throughout. 

Next, ‘Machine’ is an agile and lively effort that bounces between arpeggiated bass patterns and wonky synth melodies, before the title track ‘Fusion’ is another heavy-hitting effort built for peak hours and resounding kicks go to work beneath trippy vocal snippets and sharp percussion licks.

 To close, the pair don’t hold back with their final effort ‘Chromatic’ - a bouncy and poignant techno effort with a soulful flair made for all hours of the
night.

Markantonio & Drumsauw ‘Fusion’ EP drops via AnalyticTrail on 2nd June 2023, with singles ‘Emotions’ and ‘Slave’ available to stream ahead of release.
