In 2011 Cosher and his production partner at the time Mikey Bechus Worked on a R&B beat in their small home studio. Thereafter, lyrics were written and Chelsea Nicole a friend of Cosher's came in to sing on the song that was half finished, and titled "mystery"
Fast forward to 2017 the same song Mystery is remade into a Drum and Bass style, with Chelsea Nicole performing the same  lyrics, and an extra rap section added and performed by Ason. This is the song Mystery, enjoy!

Recently, Cosher Recording Studios held it's third BTC, a competition where up and coming artists recorded themselves singing or rapping over a teaser produced by Cosher. The participants submitted their recordings and the winners were selected. They then came into the studios to record their vocals and feature on the track.

Cape Town based producer/DJ Cosher’s latest single off his upcoming album ‘Certified’  is the rework of one of his earlier songs called 'Just Come Home’  featuring Chelsea Nicole. 

The original vocals were sped up, in a process called 'time compression expansion' and put through an updated mix process at Cosher Recording Studios, before the production was redone to be aligned with the uplifting dance sound of his album. 

The song got its exclusive first radio play on the Coke Top 40 on KFM on the 10th of February with Carl Wastie and received overwhelming positive feedback. 

The song tells a story about a couple in a long distance relationship during a war which keeps them apart. The song however is positive and the message is that no matter how important the thing is keeping a couple apart; the relationship is more important.

The upcoming album ‘Certified' is a producer album which features a different vocalist on each track: this album includes some great local and international talent including Jimmy Nevis, Mathew Gold, Alexandra May, Chad Saaiman, Alicia Madison (USA), Georgia Rose, AliThatDude, Lakota Silva, Janice, and others. As well as co-productions with local producer Tristan Carmichael and international producer Marcela (Columbia)

The second single from Cape Town Producer / DJ Cosher’s upcoming album ‘Certified' pays homage to one of South Africa’s most iconic songs ‘Burnout' by Sipho 'Hotstix' Mabuse (who was recently awarded the National order of Ikhamanga - for his contribution to the field of music and social cohesion).

It features the new, originally written, lyrics and vocals of Cape Town’s  Chad Saaiman and includes the highly recognizable melody hook composition of the original ‘Burnout' reproduced by Cosher, in this uplifting 2018 dance rendition of the track.

Cosher (Colin Sher) studied sound engineering with a main focus on music production. After freelancing for a few years in his small home studio, he built a full scale recording studio to fulfil his business aspirations, but also to fulfil his potential as a music producer. Since opening in 2015 he has been signed as a solo DJ/Producer to Rude World Records and has remixes, and features with big names like Jimmy Nevis, Danny K and Mark Haze.

Cosher makes music continuously, if not for the business then in his free time. He has had a few tracks on national radios like 5fm as well as big local radio GoodHope Fm, This include his deep house remix of Extasy By Janice, Drum and Bass remix of Horizon By Jimmy Nevis, vocal house song called "If I ain't got Love" tropical house song "Just Come Home" and some more.
